"Wait so your saying he was brainwashed?" I asked, still very confused.

Liam sighed and put his head in his hands, "Yes, my father managed to remove the memory of Grace from Harry's brain."

"How is that even possible?" Stacy gaped.

"I don't even know," Liam frowned.

Fortunately, Ian was arrested last night and Stacy, Liam, and I have been sitting in the waiting room of this hospital for a few hours.

"I have to get going," Liam stood up and we said goodbye.

A nurse walked into the waiting room, "Harry Sty-"

Stacy and I immediately stood up and rushed over to her.

"Follow me," she said meekly, speaking with her head down.

We followed her through a few hallways and stopped in front of a door marked 209.

"He's still asleep, but the doctor requested to see you," she gestured towards us.

We slowly made our way into the hospital room. Harry was lying in the bed and the doctor was sitting at a desk at the foot of the bed.

There was a bandage around Harry's neck and he looked so pale and lifeless, almost like a ghost.

"Your friend is going to be fine," the doctor said gently.

We nodded and he continued, "But it's going to take a while for him to fully recover. He endured a serious injury in his neck, but it should heal on its own in five to six weeks. Do any of you know how all of this happened?"

"Only Grace would know," I replied.

As if on cue, another nurse walked into the room, "Grace just woke up."

The doctor stood up and followed the nurse. Stacy followed the doctor but I stayed behind. I turned to look at Harry. He started to move his arms but his eyes were still closed. I assumed he was just having a dream.

Then he started mumbling a vague jumble of words and sounds. I made my way closer to the bed so I could try to make out some of the words. His arm stretched out, as if he was trying to reach for something or someone. The look of distress on his face hinted that he was having a nightmare.

"No! You can't do this!" Harry yelled while tossing and turning wildly.

I lightly shook him and his eyes shot open. He had a fearful expression on his face and he was panting heavily. It took him a minute for him to realize where he was.

"Are you okay, mate?" I sat on the edge of the bed.

He just stared ahead, fear present in his eyes.

"It was just a dream," I tried to comfort him, "It wasn't real."

He suddenly jerked his head to face me, "No, it was real."

"What do you mean?" I furrowed my brows,"What happened?"

He put his head in his hands, "I loved her more than anything, but I couldn't save her."

"Who?" I questioned, hopefully.

"She didn't have a face, but I knew she was beautiful," he took a deep breath, "I knew she was too good for me. Too good for anyone. But I couldn't save her. I ruined her."

-Stacy-

This was all so much to take in. I was overwhelmed, but I couldn't even begin to imagine what Grace and Harry were going through. They've always had this connection that I never understood. Their relationship was just so...special.
