Chapter 3: A Man With No Consequence
•
In a dramatic fashion (Y/N) had rolled out of the tent, muttering a good morning to the others. She moved over, helping Noctis pick up the other chairs; fold them and put them away while Prompto ran past them, chatting up with Ignis.
Gladio started to take the tent down and the five of them began their journey back to Hammerhead, fighting a few monsters that crossed their path.
The (h/c) girl could feel power coursing through her veins with every strike, and it was evident to Noctis as a happy smile painted her lips after the battle was over.

Once back in Hammerhead Cindy greeted you all with good news: the Regalia was fixed and ready to be used again. You smiled happily, shaking her hands with the upmost joy.
"Thank you sooo much Cindy!"
Cindy smiled back at you. "You're very welcome! Since y'all are on your way to Galdin Quay do you mind makin' a delivery for me?"
Prompto placed a hand on your shoulder, a grin on his face. "Sure! We can do that for you!"
A laugh escaped your lips as you stared at your best friend. You poked his noise causing Prompto to shake his head with a confused (but cute) snort.
Noctis rolled his eyes, but ultimately accepted to do Cindy's task causing the girl to giggle. "Good! Thought you would say yes! So I already put it in the trunk!"
With no other words being said you and the rest of the group hopped into the now working Regalia, with Noctis taking the wheel this time.
Noctis switched on the radio, a small song filled with atonement painting the air around you. You stretched the best you could while being between Ignis and Gladio, rubbing your eyes with a frown.
Snap!
"Huh?"
Opening your eyes you were met with a happy Prompto, who was also holding his camera in your direction. "You looked so cute," he said, shrugging. "I just had to take a picture."
A frown made its way to your lips as you heard Noctis and Gladio start snickering. Leaning forward you placed your hands on the sides of the blonde's face, watching intently as a confused blush spread across his face. Quickly you left a friendly kiss on his nose and leaned back.
Prompto turned around, nervously muttering under his breath as Noctis muttered a few words in his direction. In response Prompto slightly glares at the Prince.

Once you arrived at your destination Noctis gave the man at the inn the delivery, while waiting for him to take said delivery out of the box a soft bark caught your attention. Turning your (e/c) eyes to the side, a small dog made eye contact with you.
Moving forward you kneeled down, petting the dog as they barked again.
"Umbra!" Noctis called from behind you.
"Bringing us stuff, atta boy!" Prompto cheers, booping Umbra's nose.
Gladio chuckled. "That dog can really track a scent."
"Certainly 'nose' how to find us." Ignis jokes, causing you to lightly chuckle.
You and Prompto moved back, Noctis taking your place and removing what looked to be a book from Umbra's side. "Just a sec..." The ravenette mutters, opening the book. He turns to a recent page, reading what was wrote down before writing down something himself; closing the book and giving it back to Umbra.
Umbra barks once more before leaving.
Standing up, Noctis turns to look at the four of you respectively. "Do you guys want to spend a night here or...?" He trails off, not knowing it you really wanted to stop here or keep going.
Ignis shakes his head, followed by a frown from Prompto. Gladio agrees with Ignis and Noctis agrees with Prompto, all eyes turn in your direction.
"It's up to you now (Y/N)," Gladio speaks, hand on his hip.
"Choose wisely." Noctis finishes, narrowing his eyes at you.
Your anxiety spikes up, a hand finding the special flower stuck in your hair and poking the stem anxiously. Staying here you could rest up in a nice bed and be ready early to start your adventure to Galdin Quay. Though if you didn't stay here you could get there early and not have to deal with the ride.
With a nod to yourself you kept your gaze with the Prince. "Sorry Prince but I think we should keep going."
Your nervous smile was met with a frown from Noctis.

Ignis took the wheel during the ride the Galdin Quay, and you had fell asleep from the soft tunes of weight on someone's shoulder coming from the radio. While it was sunny it also was windy, which allowed the smell of salt to paint the air.
Prompto laughed, leaning forward with his arms crossed as he stared at the glimmering blue water. "I see the sea!" He yelled, which jolted you awake from your small nap.
Noctis smirked softly. "I 'sea' it too."
You snorted at the small pun your heard from Noctis, though you found yourself leaning forward a tiny bit so you could see the sea clearly. Gladio rolled his eyes, lowering his book.
"Could of just asked me to lower my book..." He grumbled. Your (e/c) eyes rolled back in reply.
"That's Galdin Quay." Ignis points out.
You tilt your head at a sort of rock like structure behind it. "What's that behind it?" You question, pointing in it's direction.
Noctis followed your finger, raising an eyebrow. "Is that a mountain?"
Ignis shakes his head at the ravenette's question. "No, it's an island."
Prompto rests his head on his hand, sighing softly as he continued to stare in the direction of the sea. "Nobody goes to Galdin for an island though, they go to kick back and get massages."
You smile, beginning to think to yourself. You silently wished you brought your sketchbook with you, but you had left it in Hammerhead with Cindy. No matter, you had other things to worry about soon enough.

Finally you arrived at Galdin Quay, enjoying the walk on the pier as you began to make some small talk to Prompto. He even showed you some of the pictures he took, and a giddy smile appeared on his lips once you seen the pictures he took of you rubbing your eyes with that frown. You blushed from embarrassment once more.
Your small talk was interrupted as a man with red hair walked up to the five of you. Prompto held your hand and gave you a reassuring squeeze.
"I'm afraid you're out of luck." The man speaks, looking at Noctis.
Noctis raises an eyebrow and places a hand on his hip. "Are we?" He questions sarcastically.
"The boats bring you here..."
At this point your other arm held onto Prompto's arm tightly, something that you were prone to doing when in the presence of someone new. "What about em?" Prompto pipes up.
The stranger... smiles softly? "Well they'll not take you forth."
