We got to the bar and Jake went to order drinks as the three of us found a booth. Jake came back with four pints of beer. We all took one and toasted before gulping some down.

"Okay guys, can we agree that we're not gonna get completely wasted tonight?" Jake asked.

"Okay how wasted can we get?" Cc asked.

"If you can't stand up and are talking to the wall, that's too wasted." I said, causing the guys to laugh.

"Deal." Cc said.

We all talked and hung out for a while, the guys having a couple shots each and Andy reluctantly getting a lap dance from some stripper. About 2 hours later, we began walking home. Thankfully the guys could actually walk so I didn't have to call a cab.

When we were passing one of the alleyways, I saw a man walking towards us. When he didn't leave after a few seconds, I knew something bad was about to happen. I gave the guys a warning look, getting ready to reach for my gun.

"Keep walking." I said quietly. "Make sure you get past the alleyway and call the cops."

They nodded without any questions and I diverted my path to meet the man. He eyed the guys and kept walking towards me. This is what I meant by 'trouble always caught up with me eventually'. He wasn't after the guys I was protecting, he was after me.

When we were almost 3 meters apart, he pulled a gun out of his pocket and pointed it at me. Instinct took over and I pulled out mine, firing a quick shot, before hearing a second bang and feeling a sharp pain in my side. The man fell and dropped his gun. I had managed to hit his leg, making sure he couldn't move. I ran towards him, kicking the weapon to the side, before hearing another shot go off and a bullet whizzing by my ear, narrowly miss my head. I turned to see another figure, this one looked like a woman, turn and run. I made the quick decision to run after her.

"Ana! NO! Just leave it!" Cc yelled after me as I chased the woman.

My side was burning and I could barely keep up with her. She turned slightly and fired wild shots behind her, trying to hit me but failing. I pushed myself harder and finally got close enough to fire a shot with some accuracy. I steadied my gun as best I could while running and took the shot. I wasn't aiming to kill her. Just to make her stop running. I pulled the trigger and the bullet flew through the air, hitting her in the thigh. She fell to the ground and I was able to catch up to her, holding her down and taking her gun, which was now empty.

I stayed on top of her, panting to regain my breath back and trying to ignore the pain, until I heard sirens and footsteps in the distance. Police took over for me and led her to one of the cars, putting her in the back seat along with the man.

The guys ran up to me and Cc pulled me into a tight hug, causing me to wince and let out a sharp yelp. He let go and looked me up and down, just now noticing the wound due to the darkness.

"Ana..." He trailed off.

Just the, a wave of pain hit me and my knees buckled, causing me to nearly fall. Cc quickly grabbed me around the waist and pulled one of my arms over his neck. Jake did the same on my other side while Andy led the way since he was too damn tall to hold me up. We started walking back to the bus, Jake and Cc supporting most of my weight between them.

We were only a couple blocks away from the venue but the darkness was impeding our vision. I was in a huge amount of pain and beginning to see spots due to major blood loss. When we finally got to the bus, Andy held the door open as we walked inside. Jake and Cc set me gently on the couch.

"Ashley! Get in here! Ana's hurt!" Andy yelled.

Ashley was in his bunk and ran out when he was called. His face was still discolored. Ashley was going to medical school but quit when he decided to pursue music instead. He always said his parents wanted him to study medicine but he never really enjoyed it. Ashley walked over and bent down to look at my injury and began to direct the rest of the guys on what to do.

"Okay it doesn't look like it hit anything major internally but I need to get the bullet out and stop the bleeding. Jake, go get the red bag under my bunk and bring it to the bedroom. Jinxx, help me bring her in there. Cc, stay out of the way with Andy. Hang on Ana." He said.

Cc tried to protest but was quickly reprimanded by Ashley to stay away. He and Jinxx slipped their arms around me and walked me into the bedroom at the back of the bus. I whimpered at the pain caused by movement as they laid me on the small bed. Ashley took his bag from Jake and put it on the floor, opening it to reveal medical supplies. He pulled on some gloves and motioned for the other guys to get out.
