Ch 5: The Parents

Chapter 5

Rex looked dead face and Ahsoka grabbed his hand and led him inside.

He didn't have any plans of meeting her parents or anything like that. All he had planned was to simply walk her home.

From first impressions her mom seemed nice, her voice was soft and she smiled as Ahsoka was leading Rex.

The 2 teens sat down on the couch as Ahsoka's mom took a seat in a near by chair. Her house was nothing like Rex's. Family photos, decorations, and a smell of sweetness surrounded the house. It looked like they had been living here their whole life.

Rex felt something brush against his foot. He looked down to see a lothcat. Rex seemed weirded out by the feeling. Ahsoka giggled and called the cat over to her. "Her name is Morai" she said. Rex thought that was a weird but exotic name. He almost felt relaxed until he remembered Ahsoka's mom was sitting infront of them. Rex tried keeping his head down without looking suspicious but he failed.

"My name is Padme by the way, its nice to meet you. I'm happy to see my daughter made a new friend" she said. Rex looked up and put on a awkward smile. "Let me get you guys some drinks" Padme said. She got up and walked over to the fancy kitchen.

Rex moved his head over to Ahsoka and talked lightly into her montral. "I'm too high for this shit" he said. Ahsoka looked at him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. "So am I thanks to you" she said. Rex rolled his eyes and started looking into their fire place.

From the outside it was a normal house. Definitely on the richer side but normal. But the inside looked like mansion style quality.

Padme walked back over and handed Ahsoka and Rex some kool-aid. "So, Ahsoka aren't you going to tell me about your friend?" She said. Ahsoka put the lothcat on her lap and said "His name is Rex, and he was just walking me home". Padme smiled and looked at Rex. He sensed she was staring so he acted like he didn't notice.

Padme was examining Rex. As a mother she had a way of telling who is who in the sense of the type of person they are.

"Where's dad?" Ahsola asked. Padme looked at her and said "He'll be back soon, he felt like getting snacks at the store".

Rex was more nervous now he had to meet the dad and from what he heard from his brother, the dad is always the hardest to meet.

"So Rex, how are your parent" Padme asked. Ahsoka looked away from her loth cat over to Rex. She could see he froze up for a second. Rex put on a smile and deeply cringed. He then said "Their lovely". Padme smiled and asked "Your not from Shili are you?" Rex put his fake smile away and said "No, I'm from Coruscant". He didn't expect Padme to know much since Ahsoka didnt but he was wrong. "Thats amazing, me and my husband came from Coruscant. I was born on Naboo and he was born on Tatooine". Rex seemed intrigued, he knew very little about Naboo.

A knock at the door could be heard. Ahsoka put down her loth cat and walked over to it. She opened it and smiled. "Hey dad" she said. "He sweety" said a manly voice. Ahsoka's dad walked in and over to the kitchen. He placed down the bag he had and looked over to the livingroom.

Rex felt dead, he wished he was dead. He had a feeling of emptiness in his stomach. He wanted to die more than anything. Ahsoka whispered into her dad's ears. Padme looked at Rex and said "thats my husband, dont worry he won't do anything" in a happy voice.

Rex looked up and tried to smile. He heard boots walking on the floor. He looked up to see a man. "Hi my name is Anakin Skywalker". Rex shook his hand and looked back down. Ahsoka took a seat next to Rex and grabbed his hand. Rex seemed shocked but secured by her warm hand grabbing his cold one. Ahsoka smiled and said "This is Rex, he was kind enough to walk me home". Padme smiled at the clear fluff. "Its nice to meet you Rex" Anakin said. Rex smiled but said nothing. Anakin continued "It's totally fine if you date my daughter, I just need to know if you do drugs". Padme slapped Anakin's shoulder and Ahsoka said "Dad stop". Rex had no clue what was going on or why that question was asked. "Sorry, my husband is a police officer" Padme said. She continued "I happen to be a lawyer myself". Ahsoka tightened her grip on Rex's hand and said "its pretty late and its a long walk back, maybe Rex could stay tonight?" Padme and Anakin looked at eachother and said "Its fine with us". Ahsoka lit up with a smile. She grabbed Rex's hand and pulled him down the hall before her parents could ask any more questions.

She pulled Rex intro her room and closed the door. Rex looked around. Her room was certainly something else. LED lights surrounding the top and bottom of the walls. A giant bed, shelves, trophies, etc. It was like something you would see in a movie. Rex was amazed by all the things in her room. He didn't have really anything besides a bed, tv, closet, shelves and all the regular stuff. How could he have anything special? It would break fast living with only brothers.

"My brothers are going to kill me" Rex said. Ahsoka looked away from her closet and back at Rex. She walked over to him and gave him a kiss. "The remote is under my pillows, you can watch TV, im going to take a shower" she said. Rex nodded and looked for the remote.
