So this might be really dumb, but Soovin ended up sleeping at his place. What happened was, she just sat on his couch in the living room last night and was going to leave right after but she was too tired that she fell asleep right away.
Now that she was already here anyway, Soovin decided to make him a cup of tea to ease his hangover. She entered his room but he wasn't there. Until she spotted him sitting on his balcony, his back facing her.
Soovin approached him and placed the cup on the table right next to him. She took a seat.
"Drink this."
Changbin looked at her. His eyes holding no emotions in them.
"What are you doing? I don't deserve any of this after everything I've done."
He asked. Soovin breathed out before she turned her gaze towards the sky.
"You know me. I help people when they are in need."
She answered and Changbin's gaze dropped.
"It's always like this. I create trouble and here you are cleaning up the mess I made."
He said.
"Are you still mad?"
It's been quite a while now since they've met again but this was the first time Changbin has asked that question. Soovin felt hesitant about answering it.
".....I don't know."
Changbin sighed. Soovin looked at him and this time, she saw the sorrow in his eyes.
"I'm really sorry. I don't have an acceptable reason for my mistakes. To be honest, I was being a selfish bastard."
Changbin forced a pained smile before he proceeded.
"But believe me Soovin, I really didn't mean to do those things. It started when I met up with my old high school friends, the ones that I introduced you to. We started to hang out a lot that time and I would always brag about you to them none stop. But then they started to joke around and say things like, you're too good for me and that you deserved someone better. I did take it as a joke at first but it slowly started to get to me. They would tell me 'How'd you get a girl like her? She's literally too perfect for you.' But I said nothing back in defense. There wasn't a time where they didn't say those things to me every time when we hung out. That's when I started to feel insecure and anxious because I thought what they were saying was true. What if you ARE too good for me? Don't I really deserve someone like you? What's wrong with me? Do I lack something? Am I not worth for a girl like you? If it is true, are you going to leave me someday?"
Changbin explained with his raspy voice. Soovin saw his teardrops already dripping down and it broke her heart.
"It was my secretary who made a move on me in the first place. I tried to push her away countless times but someday, I was so lost in my thoughts that I just let her do things to me. She kissed me and I kissed her back but with you in my mind. We never did anything more than that until that night. When I found her beside me the next morning, I felt the biggest pang in my chest. I felt so guilty.......until now, I still can't believe how much of an asshole I acted that time. Even tho it was only you who left me, I was alone, I felt so empty. I pushed everyone away and nothing mattered to me. You were always the one who brightened up my mood but you were already gone. I didn't know if I was ever gonna be ok, if I was gonna be able to move on from you. I felt like giving up when you left me. It hurts to be alone. As I said, I-I can't give you an acceptable reason. I was selfish and I had no idea what you've been through. I'm sorry Soovin. I'm really really really sorry."
Changbin sobbed. Soovin couldn't hold back her tears as she looked at him guilty. Changbin continued to sob. Soovin might have had a rage on him, but she knew that what he went through was just as painful. They both have suffered.
"Arasso, gwenchana. (Alright, it's okay)"
Soovin tried to sooth him down while patting his back. All of the sudden, all her anger towards him was gone. It just disappeared like magic. Soovin no longer has the feeling of wanting to step on his face. Changbin dried off his tears.
"I forgive you. I'm sorry too."
Changbin looked at her and they starred into each other's eyes. A small smile appeared on both of their faces. Changbin felt a relieved. Her forgiveness was the answer to his problems.
The only problem Soovin has now is how she's going to explain to Minho about her missing the night before.
On Monday, everyone met at the station, waiting for their booked bus to busan for their big project. Seungmin just came and they were ready to leave.
"Are we completed?" Changbin asked while counting them all.
"Umm hello? Did you guys just forget about me? That breaks my heart."
The boys turned their gaze towards the voice and saw someone they didn't expect to see.
"Soovin!"
Jisung and Chan chimed. Soovin ran towards them dragging along her suitcase.
"Sir Changbin, I don't think you will be able to survive without me."
"You're coming with us?"
Changbin asked in a surprised tone.
"Don't worry, I already informed Mr Seo that I will come along to busan and continue my job. You guys don't sound amused."
"We are! We're glad you're back!"
Seungmin cheered. The bus arrived and they all entered. They all took their seats and was ready to drive off. Changbin looked a Soovin once again. Soovin glanced back at him with a smile. Changbin felt his heart skip a beat.
