Soovin came to Changbin's office the next day. She handed him a file.

"Here."

Changbin took it, thinking it was one of the projects they were working on. But it wasn't....

"Why are you handing me a resignation paper?"

"I won't be able to continue my job. You just need to sign it. Don't worry, I'll be on my way to talk to your dad right now."

Soovin declared. Changbin was confused. Her contract wasn't over yet but she was already willing to end it unlike how she agreed.

Before he could ask her about it, Soovin turned around to quickly leave his office.

"Wait, Soovin!"

She kept walking, ignoring his calls. The employers threw them a look but they didn't really care.

Soovin pressed the elevator botton and waited for it to arrive.

"Soovin, what's wrong? What's the reason?"

Changbin looked at her intensely as Soovin tried to avoid his eyes.

"It's on the paper-"

"Don't fool me Soovin! Tell me why."

Changbin said a little harsher. Soovin walked away to take the stairs instead. Changbin catches up quickly and blocked her way.

"Soovin."

"I thought I could do it okay! I thought I was doing alright. But I was wrong, it still hurts! I can't stand seeing your face as the painful memories keep flashing back to me. Even after all these years, nothing has changed. I'm still fragile and you're hurting me again like you did in the past."

Soovin finally claimed as tears were already threatening to fall from her eyes. He knew it.

"So it's still about the past? Soovin that was 2 years ago. Why are you the one who's hurting? Why are you playing the victim when you were clearly the one who left me? You gave up on us without giving me at least a second chance because of that one mistake I committed. YOU threw us away."

Soovin eyed him and scoffed in disbelief.

"So it's my fault? You're blaming me for working hard for our relationship? I was even the one who made a move on you, remember? I was that stupid, laughable girl who's been in love with you since I was 16. I tried everything and it took a while for you to even take interest in me. I was always the first one to say sorry whenever we argued, I was always the one who would come to your place even if it was 3 in the morning because you said you needed motivation and stayed up with you until you were finished with your work. I turned down the offer of working abroad because I wanted to stay by your side! Someone already gave me signs of your blunders, but I chose to not believe it and trusted you because I loved you! I was sure that you wouldn't dare to do that to me."

Her voice cracked. Soovin failed to hold her composure together as tears were already streaming down her cheeks.

"That's why it hurt me so much when I finally saw the truth. I gave you all of me but you betrayed me. So don't come at me with the audacity because you don't have the slightest idea of what I've been through. I didn't throw us away....you did."

With that, she wiped her tears and left. Changbin stood right there longer than he should have. He felt so stupid and disappointed in himself for making her feel that way. Soovin was right, Changbin broke their own relationship.

Her words kept repeating in his head and without realizing, a tear rolled down his cheek.
