It was getting dark outside and decided to return to the hotel to get some good rest, especially when they had to prepare for their big project tomorrow.
Other places they went to today were at the aquarium and after that, they decided to finish off their day eating at a famous korean BBQ restaurant with a little bit of beer. It was a fun and happy memory.
Jeongin has gone home and the rest headed back to the hotel. Sana and the boys were walking ahead, joking and laughing with each other while Soovin and Changbin followed behind them. They talked to each other while fooling around as well. But it was hard to communicate while trying to avoid topics that connected to their past relationship.
"Aren't you cold? Your jacket seems too thin. You didn't even bring a scarf."
Changbin asked with concern but Soovin denied. Though, it was really cold during this early season and the wind was chillier than ever. Soovin's body betrayed her as she bursted a sneeze. Changbin shook his head and she blushed in embarrassment. Soovin flinched when she felt him wrapping his scarf around her. She looked at him surprised.
"No, you don't have to-"
"Oh please, I'd rather get sick than let you get sick."
Changbin said casually not knowing what kind of effects it caused Soovin. She decided to not fight back and just accepted his offer. Although, she couldn't lie, she loved the smell of his scarf.
As they continued to walk, Soovin noticed Changbin rubbing his hands together and then putting them back to his pocket. She didn't know what was going through her mind when she decided to do something unlikely.
"Put your hand out."
Soovin demanded calmly. Changbin raised a brow before he removed his left hand out of his pocket, showing his palm. Soovin grabbed his cold hand and placed it inside the warm pocket of her coat, their hands still connected. Changbin felt his body stiffen at the sudden action. He looked at her with wide eyes.
"And you didn't even bring gloves."
She cooed. Soovin turned her gaze back to the front. Even though she was wearing gloves, Changbin couldn't help but tense up at the contact. The warmth of her hand was enough to melt his heart. Changbin turned to the other side and bit his lip as he tried to maintain his smile. It happened to be a habit whenever she gets shy or flustered.
Only then, Soovin came back to her senses and realized what she did. She turned bright red. But she didn't want to take it back anyways. Friends could be doing stuff like this too, right? Their hands stayed attached until they reached the hotel. Luckily, their friends were too busy talking to each other.

"I'm going to my room good night guys."
Seungmin yawned as he made his way followed by the others.
"Mind if I walk you to your room?"
Changbin asked hesitantly and Soovin nodded. Not gonna lie, she was actually hoping for him to ask that. Changbin guided her to her room. Both of them walked extra slow as they didn't want to part ways yet but unfortunately, their journey didn't really last long as they wanted.
They reached her door. Soovin turned to look at Changbin.
"So....see you tomorrow?"
"Umm wait."
Changbin grabbed something out of his pocket. It was a key chain, a koala one. Soovin raised an eyebrow.
"For you. If you were an animal, you'd be a koala. You know, cuz koalas are cute and from what I know, you like hugs and cuddles so...."
Soovin found it sweet how he still remembers. They used to cuddles a lot that time. She bursted out laughing taking Changbin by surprise.
"What's so funny?"
Soovin also took something out of her purse and showed him two keychains. A bunny and a pig.
"I bought these as well. Actually, I was debating whether I should give it to you or not."
"Ahh so you haven't forgotten about that nickname yet?"
Soovin used to call him dwaeggi because he was basically a rabbit and a pig combined. They exchange their gifts.
"Thank you for this. Sleep tight."
Changbin chuckled and nodded afterwards.
"Thank you and you too."
Soovin accidentally dropped the card to her hotel room. Soovin was about to pick it up but Changbin decided to be a gentleman and do it for her. They both bend down at the same time, bumping their heads.
"Ouch."
They giggled and held onto their foreheads. Changbin quickly picked up her card and gave it to her.
"Are you okay?"
He laughed as he gently caressed her temple. Soovin realized how close their faces were and she felt like her heart was going to burst out of her chest at this point.
As Changbin looked up to her eyes, his smile eased. They stared into each other's eyes without uttering a single word.
...
Changbin's eyes trailed down to her lips and Soovin gulped. He started to lean in, their faces getting closer. Changbin had no control over his body as if it's moving on its own. Soovin's mind was going crazy to the point where she couldn't even get a single muscle of her body to move.
She closed her eyes and just as when his lips brushed off hers, the door beside them opened and out came a stranger in his robe and his red Tata flip flops, getting ready to take a swim. Soovin and Changbin looked at him as the man from next door gave them a weird look.
"Really? Right in front of my Gucci?"
The two immediately backed away from each other.
"Sorry."
They bowed politely before scratching the back of their head awkwardly. The man left and the atmosphere quiet down again.
"Y-you should go get some rest as well it's late. Umm good night."
Soovin hurriedly opened the door and entered her room, leaving Changbin alone in the corridor. He though for a second what has happened just a second ago and grabbed his hair. He was shocked, happy but a bit disappointed that they got interrupted.
Soovin leaned her back against the door and covered her mouth as she gasped. A flashback of the scene from just now popped in her head and she squealed at the thought. She smacked her own head and scolded her inner self for almost letting it happen. Soovin asked herself why she didn't move and WANTED it to happen.
