14.// Lies

I was tossing and turning all night long. I don't know why. I just feel like I should be aware if something.

Once I finally Fell asleep I was relieved. When I got up in the morning I still felt bad, But I could walk around myself and was not dizzy.

I go downstairs and make myself some toast. I sit on the couch and sit on my phone scrolling through my Polyvore liking things.

Luke came down when I was throwing my trash away. I spin around.

"Mornin'!" I wrap my arms around his neck. I feel his hands slightly shake onto my waist.

I pull away and Kiss him. he bits his lip and looks down passing me and getting some food from the cabinet.

"Luke? Are you okay?" I ask. he says nothing. he looks really nervous though.

"Luke what's wrong?" I step closer. "Nothing Just leave it." he walks to the table.

"I know it is something, just tell me." I follow him and sit down next to him.

"Isabella! I said to leave it!" He says harshly.

"What happened?! Tell me! What did I do to make you so pissed at me?!"

"Leave me alone okay! Just, Go away!" He shouts. I step back, shocked that he had yelled at me.

I run up the stairs two at a time and slam my door. Not on purpose, I don't know what overcame me.

I am angry? Why am I so angry?

I got a text from Calum.

C. Can you meet me outside of The science building at 10? We need to talk.

B. Yeah, Luke is acting weird?

C. yeah, I will explain everything.

I got changed and took a shower, than checked the time.

I have twenty minutes but I want to leave early.

I go downstairs and Luke is on the couch, "see ya'." he says nothing.

He only stares at him phone with no expression shown on his face.

My shoulders slouch and I go out to my car.

"Calum! What is going on with Luke? It's like he hates me!" I tell him.

"I know. Luke texted me at 2am saying Karen wouldn't leave."

"What?!? Karen was in his room?!?"

"Yeah, and she has a plan to break you two up."

"What?! Why would she do that!"

"Don't you get it yet? Karen loves Luke!" Oh my god. "Did Luke tell you about when he was fourteen and his best friend was a girl?"

I nod my head, "That is Karen. He promised her he wouldn't change and when he did she confronted him about it. they got into a big fight and he ended it by punching her." my eyes widen. Luke punched a girl?!

"Karen was really upset with him, when she saw him at the party I guess they talked while you went upstairs. I was getting a drink and she told him to ditch you and be with her. Luke said he loves you and he wouldn't be with Karen ever. that's when she blew up and told him she will make your family hate him and forbid you two to be together."

I had tears in my eyes that were threatening to come out.

"I need to go talk to Luke." I get back into my car and drive to the dorm.

"Luke?!" I call when I burst through the door.

I heard his loud music from upstairs and ran up two at a time. I burst through the door and Michael is there too.

"Why didn't you tell me?!" I ask. Luke spins in his chair.

"Why didn't you tell me what Karen was saying about me?! How she was going to make my family hate you?! And you knew her? She was the one you promised to!" I yell, I can't hold the tears anymore and they were falling like a waterfall.

"Bella. I didn't tell you because I knew it would make you sad."

"So you let me hear it from someone else?! Why didn't you just tell me everything this morning when I asked you what was wrong? Why are you keeping so many secretes from me?"

"Baby, I was scared! I didn't want to make you cry."

"Well good job trying but you did. I trusted you." I go out the door to my car again.

I was going to get in but ended up just running. I need to burn off steam and that will not happen if I am driving, I will end up in a crash.

I ran and ran and ran till I reached Ashton's house. I wiped my face so it didn't look like I was crying.

I knock on the door and the cute boy from the Movies opens the door.

"Wait, Does Ashton live here?" He chuckles at me, "yeah. I'm one if his friends. Come on in."

I sat inside the smoky room, barely able to see one of the boys that were across the room.

There is some machine in the middle of the room, four of the boys sat with a straw type thing in their mouth that was attached to it.

Ashton hit one of the guys on the arm and the guy moved, Giving Ashton the straw.

Ash puts it in his mouth as smoke comes out of his mouth. I got in and sat in front of him.

"What is that?" I ask He smirks at me. "Try it."

"What is it first?" "Weed, this machine is called a Hookah. these hoses make it so more than one person can smoke it. Here. come here."

He put his arms out for me to sit in his lap. I did so and he stuck the straw into my mouth.

I close my eyes as I breath in and out. It made me smile.

"You like it?" He asks. I nod my head. He plays with my hair.

"I love the new hair by the way, when did you do this?"

"Uh, Two days ago." I look down thinking about Luke.

"Whatcha thinkn' about?" Ash asks, "Luke."

"Oh yeah, where is he anyways."

"Uh. at the dorm. I kind if yelled at him and came here." "what? What happened?"

"He lied to me. Karen was trying to get him to break up with me and he never told me."

"I knew something was fishy about that girl." "yeah, We all did."

"I'm sorry." he hugs me, "don't be. You did nothing wrong."
