I was contently sat criss-crossed in front of my dresser folding clothes and administering each thing drawer to drawer in an orderly fashion. My thoughts were serene in this moment thankfully but I was quite unsatisfied by the surging energy I had, thanks to sitting on a plane all day.

Maybe I can jog to Milo's place. I gave a ridiculous smile in result of the idea. Yeah, right. Me jogging is a joke.

Pushing the stupid thought aside I remember that I get to hang out with my semi-new posse. I bit my lip to conceal a sqeak of excitement and sprang from my spot on the floor. I yanked on a plain black T-shirt along with a pair of stone washed skinny jeans and stumbled out of my room. I squinted at the sign of sunlight.

I plucked my phone from the coffee table in the living room, grabbed my keys, and slipped on some boots.

"I'm going to do adult things, I'll be home tonight!" I yelled standing with one foot in the condo and one foot in the hall that smelled of new carpet.

"We've been home not even half of a day and you're already doing a drug deal?" I heard Kyle yell from the kitchen. I puffed out a playful scoff.

"Oh you know me, always available." I teased back.

"Tell Dan I say hi!"

"I have other friends than Dan!" I replied slipping out the door before he could answer. Not even after I took one step toward the elevator, Kyle's muffled voice answered,

"Sure you do!"

With a smile I trotted down the white corridor, anxious to see everyone I missed.

I put an arm around Milo's broad shoulder and tugged at his earlobe. "Milo," I laughed and poked the inside of his ear. "Milo, hear me out for a second." He cringed beneath me and let out a constrained giggle.

"What! What do you want?!" He attempted to get away from me but I leaned on him more. He was slightly flustered yet couldn't stop laughing at my drunk antics.

"Laughing only encourages her!" Mari explained while running her finger across the condensation of the glass bottle in her hand.

"Become a teeth model. Please. For me." I pleaded prodding my fingers at his teeth. "You would be on so many Crest commercials." I swooned.

"Haley, get away!" He begged giving off an annoyed tone.

"Right, right, sorry. I'm just bored and your teeth are nice." I got out of his personal space and stuck on my perimeter of the couch. Milo eyed me conspicuously before taking another drink. I let out an aired laugh and looked around. I watched Elliot pace around the room on his phone, seeming quite distressed about something. I pushed myself up off the couch and wrapped myself to his free arm.

"Elli, who are you talking to?" I stared up at him but got no reply. He turned away from me and intently focused on listening to the person on the other line. I gave a pout and returned back to my spot on the couch. I decided I would strike up separate conversation with Mari. "You know, I never pictured you as the drinking type." I confessed watching her ease a bottle of Blue Moon to her lipstick lathered mouth. She replied with a little giggle and swallowed. "You've always seemed like a goody-goody, no offense." Milo gave me an are-you-kidding look and I found myself questioning how much I really knew about this small group of people.

"My father's side of the family is very, very Irish."

"So like, you're a walking stereotype?"

"Exactly," she tipped her beer toward me and nodded.

"I'm German if that means anything." I shrugged leaning back into my seat.

"I'm like 1% Greek." Milo added.

"Is Zeus your daddy?" I giggled nudging him with my foot.

"What's up with you touching me?" He snapped lightly.

"You're so touchable."

"Zeus is my daddy," Mari murmured from her seat, "if you know what I mean,"

I let out a delightful screech of laughter. Milo soon followed my lead and did the same. Our fit of giggles was interrupted by Elliot returning to accompany us. He had a sly smile on his face and I found myself entranced by how he looked up to no good.

"What?" I asked rather loudly.

"You guys want to do something fun?" His smirk was even wider and I found myself miming a smirk as well.
