Chapter 42 : Meeting Eri

Set after the Festival

Ms Joke POV

I was getting the house ready for Shota and Eri.

Shota told me that he was going to become Eri's guardian. He also wanted me to meet her to help her raise her spirits.

Shota manage to get some time away from UA because of Eri.

Hitoshi even came back home from the dorms as well.

Me and Hitoshi were just cooking.

"Hey Mom," said Hitoshi.

"Yes. Hitoshi," I said.

"Um I kinda hate keeping you and Dad and secret from Cherri. I already met her mom and she told me about her dad," said Hitoshi.

"I will need to talk to your dad about that," I said.

Hitoshi nodded.

Then we heard the door open.

Shota entered with Eri.

Eri had a look of amazement on her face.

Shota saw me and Hitoshi.

"Hi," I said.

Eri got scared and hide behind Shota's legs.

I got down on my knees.

"It's okay. You don't need to be scared," I said.

Eri saw the kindness in my eyes and got closer to me.

"Hi. I'm Eri," said Eri.

"Hi Eri. My name is Emi," I said.

Eri smiled.

Hitoshi got close.

"Eri this is my son Hitoshi," I said.

Hitoshi got on one knee.

"Hey," said Hitoshi.

I know that she has a connection to one of Hitoshi's classmates Izuku Midoriya, and I also know she knows him as deku.

"Hey Eri, Hitoshi is in the same class as Deku," I said.

"You know Deku," asked Eri.

"Yes I do and I also know the girl with the red hair Cherri," said Hitoshi.

Then he took out his phone and show Eri a picture of  him and Cherri.

Later on in the day we just continue to talk and I told Eri some jokes and laugh at everyone.

We ate and laugh.

Eri got sleepy and fell asleep on the couch.

I grabbed a blanket and put it on her.

I turn to see Hitoshi and Shota talking.

"Hey is everything alright," I asked.

"I'm asking dad if it's okay to tell Cherri about this," said Hitoshi.

"I understand why you want to tell her. But we should invite her over for dinner and we can explain everything," I said.

"I agree with that," said Shota.

Later Hitoshi had to go back to the dorms.

And he wants to tell Cherri about the dinner.

I looked at Eri.

I had the same feeling when I first met Hitoshi.

Like a motherly feeling.
