Adrien made some hot chocolate and I texted my best friend back in China.

Anna: Hi! I miss u so much!

Mei: Hi An! miss u 2!

Anna: I met this boy. Marco Florence.

Mei: Cool! Is he cute?

Anna: Mei! 😛

Mei: You're avoiding my question... OMG

Anna: I guess he is.

Mei: Ah! You TOTALLY have a crush!

Anna: Mei, pls.

Mei: BRB. Going to find him on Instagram.

I put down my phone. I had to admit, I liked Marco. More than I wanted to admit to myself. My phone buzzed, and Mei had sent me an Instagram post. It was captioned "Beach days," and it showed Marco with his arm slung over a pretty brunette girl a little shorter than him.

Mei had also sent a question mark.

Mei: ?

Anna: Yes, that's him.. Guess he has a GF.

Mei: No, wait.

Mei: I tapped the tag on the girl's image and her name is Marisa. I don't know her last name but it starts with an N.

Anna: Oh.😐

Mei: Just ask him but in the meantime, follow him. I have to go, it's 4 am over here. Bye.

Anna: Bye Mei.😘

Mei: 😃 ♥️

Footsteps were coming up the stairs. The door opened with mom and dad coming in.

"Good, you're up! We have gifts!" Dad said, picking up a bag. He gave it to Adrien who took out two boxes and passed one to me. I gently lifted the lid and there lay a charm shaped like my home city, Shanghai.

"Oh! I love it!" I cried, hugging my parents.

"For you to collect charms from new adventures," Mom smiled.

Adrien joined the hug, holding his new journal.
