Chapter 5: A Battle of Blood and Broken Hearts

It was 5 P.M. the next day and all of the teams were at the ready. Peter had to have them all meet up in the basement because the meeting room wasn't big enough for all 73 heroes. The armies were all outside in a tent that had been set up for them to sit and wait.

May, Happy, Mary, and Grandma J all stared at the lawn full  of aliens and Asgardians.

"What am I looking at?" Mary asked in confusion.

"I've seen a lot of weird shit in my lifetime, but nothing as strange as this." Grandma J sighed.

"I've learned to not ask too many questions." Happy replied.

"I don't know whether to be scared or to ask them why their skin is green." May added and Happy shook his head.

"May you cant go around asking people why their skin is green." Happy sighed.

"ARE they people?" Mary asked in genuine confusion.

"They have brains, and they have a conscious so yes they are people." Happy replied.

"Do they bleed red?" May asked and Happy got impatient.

"I said they were people. I didn't say they were human people." Happy snapped and May and Mary just stood there. Mary leaned over to May.

"Ben wasn't as temperamental as Happy is." Mary sighed and Happy frowned......

Peter saw everyone in the room start to get impatient. Negasonic and Yukio walked over to them. Wade was beside Peter and Yukio smiled and waved at Wade.

"Hi Wade." Yukio said and Wade tilted his head.

"Hi Yukio." Wade said in a high pitched voice.

"So, where is she?" Negasonic asked in concern.

"I don't know where she's at." Peter was honest and Negasonic looked shocked.

"ANNIE'S MISSING AND YOU'RE NOT AT ALL CONCERNED?!" Negasonic shouted and everyone in the room grew quiet. Kitty stood up.

"We're screwed without her!" Kitty shouted.

"You don't think she jumped ship do you?" Carol asked in concern.

"Clearly you don't know her you basic bitch." Vic (Anole) snapped.

"Shut up you green scaly freak." Carol snapped back.

"Do you see what YOUR friends look like!? They're green and scaly too!" Lazaro pointed out. The Beast got anxious.

"If Annie jumped ship then I'm jumping ship." The Beast said as he looked very freaked out.

"EVERYBODY CALM DOWN!" Peter shouted. "I know my child. She did NOT jump ship!"

"Then where is she?" Beck asked.

"Oh wouldn't you like to know now that she's single?" Tony said degradingly.

"Hey I haven't had feelings for Annie in years!" Beck snapped.

"Oh bullshit!" Bucky snapped back at Beck.

"GUYS!" Peter shouted. They all looked to him. "Knock it off." Adrian Toomes walked over to Peter as everyone resumed talking.

"You ok?" Adrian asked and Peter shook his head. "I get it. If my daughter were in Annie's position I would be going out of my mind." Peter looked to him and nodded. "She's probably fine. She's a smart kid."

"I know she is." Peter said as tears filled his eyes. Suddenly Morbius walked over to Adrian with a cellphone and handed it to Adrian.

"Its your child." Morbius said and Adrian nodded.
