Clandestine In The Silence

Chase's POV:

After our little adventure in the secret garden, that Marshall showed me,we decided that we head back since it was almost night time,and so we did,running back to the same path we have taken earlier,the castle was now insight,quietly entering the door,I assumed that Marshall doesn't want to get caught,but so misfortune comes,as the butler comes to us,saying it was time for the royals supper,Marshall thank the butler named George,and was now headed to the dining room,he was greeted by his parents as he sits down besides the table,I on the other hand stand besides him like an empty metal knight standing at the corner of the castle,"Chase come eat with us,you can sit here beside me,"Marshall said surprising me,grabbing an empty chair,I look at him in disbelief, 'does he want me to eat,along with the royals?' I thought to myself,looking at the king and queen,seeing that the Marshall's father has a grin on his face,which made me wonder why,while sitting besides the prince,"It seems that you two are finally getting along,"the king spoke,looking at us,"Any changes?"he sarcastically continued making another grin,which made me blush a bit,and I noticed that Marshall also has a slight rose color in his face,it looks like the king is expecting an answer,but was cut off as the maids came by the door,carrying the food in a metal tray,putting in infront of us.

Silence filled the room as we eat our meal,I think everyone enjoys the tranquil void,well not until the king spoke again,"So son,is there now a girl you're interested?A perfect mate to be queen?"he asks his son as I saw him trimble,nodding himself no,shocking me to realize that the prince still has no princess nor a fiancee,hearing that the king had sigh,"Don't worry I'll come up with something,"the king smiled,trying to not give a heavy pressure in his son.Another silence was created in the void,enjoyed by the royals,until Marshall spoke,putting aside his plate,"Thank you for the meal,may I be excuse,"he spoke,a frown was hidden in his face that I immediately noticed as his parents nod in response.

He bowed before leaving the room,I fasten my pace in eating wanting to follow him sooner,"Chase,you will be sharing the room of Marshall,so you can keep him company,ok,"I almost choke on my food, 'sharing a room?',I widened my eyes,thankfully the king hasn't noticed,finishing my meal,and thanking them for it,I went upstairs where Marshall is,seeing that his room is opened,I quitely took a little peek at the open door,seeing that he has buried himself in his pillow, 'Guess I should cheer you up,' I chuckled before entering the room,noticing that Marshall hasn't move an inch,"Marshall are you awake,?"I ask but to no avail,thinking of a way to catch his attention,as I sit on the other bed,"You know,I think,it's hard to believe that a prince hasn't found his princess yet,"and that did it,he got up and started looking this way,"You know,it's not that easy you know,not when you........never mind,"he didn't finish his sentence,I didn't bother asking,since it might offend him,"Still,I can't believe a prince as charming as you still has no lover,"I widened my eyes, 'What did I just say?!' I just laughed it out,noticing that there is that scarlet shade again in the dals face,"We'll not as.......not as charming as you,"I heard him mutter,but luckily,I heard him,"Eh,the prince also called me charming ,someone's being observant,"I say as I moved closer,facing the dalmatian,who was just looking at the floor,afraid to make eye contact,I caught another glimpse of his cerulean eyes,"Anyway,go to sleep,it's getting late,"he spoke,laying on his bed,covering his body with his blanket,"Eh,but I still wanna talk,atleast you're not frowning anymore,well if you insist,goodnight my prince,"I said after bowing as I went to my bed,I think I heard him mutter something,and so slowly closed my eyes,and drifted off to sleep,or so I thought.

Opening my eyes that now glow in the night,seeing if the prince is now in his slumber,I quietly got off my bed,grabbing my hood,heading towards the balcony,jumping in every corner of the castle,staying in the darkness,I was able to get pass through some knights without being noticed or caught,reaching the end of the castle I jumped,after stealing another glance of the caslte,the cold evening breeze brushed against my fur,blowing away my scarf,and so I ran,going back to where his staying,passing streets after streets alleys ofter alleys,reaching now a dark spot of the town,

" I see you have returned,Chase,so any reports,"a deep  voice from the darkness spoke,catching my attention,

"Yes,it seems that the king is going to acquire more knights for their protection,and they are still unaware of my identity,"I replied,in sign of respect,

"Such cowards!!"he slam his bottle of beer,spilling and breaking the glass bottle,"And your not forgetting what your real intention is right?"he ask,making me grip my hand in anger,

"Of course,I will never forget the only reason I live,and that is to avenge my father's death,"I said in a harsh tone,my eyes turning into a piercing glance,then the canine in the shadow laughed,

"Glad you didn't forget,make sure you find their greatest weakness,so that we can infiltrate,and take over Carmine Kingdom,after what they've done to me,to us,to your father,"he said,as the clouds dispersed in the sky,revealing now his figure,with the help of the moonlight,

"I will......Brando,"I responded,before going,leaving the dobberman in the shadows again,looking at him one last glance as he disappears,blendinf in the night.

Jumping in silently in every rooftop,streets after streets,trying to avoid attention as much as possible,until finally I reached the castle,passing the clueless knights in the black night,and finally reachinf the balcony,where Marshall's room is,glancing at the sleeping prince,I made my way quietly,sitting gently in his bed,careful not to alarm the dal,

'I don't want to hurt you,if possible,you're so innocent,a prince looking for his perfect mate,I hope that you'll find one,' I thought,a little smile krept on my face as I glance at the prince,I got closer to him,and did what I never thought I would do,I got closer,and gently kissed his forhead, 'Sleep tight,Prince Marshall,',moving back to my bed,as I lay on it,every scene today suprises me, 'I think I'll show you one of my secrets tomorrow,' I chuckled,almost forgetting my real mission,I never felt this way before,and so,after minutes have past,I finally went to an evening slumber.
