"Oh! it's you again! how are you?"

The barista at the counter shot her friend a bright smile. Jihyun looked over and is surprised to see that Doyeon's confidence had magically melted away.

"I'm doing well- I mean good, I'm doing good." Doyeon stammered, face a little red and refusing to look the girl in the eye.

Jihyun put her hand over her mouth to stifle a laugh.

"You want your usual?"

"My usual?"

"You come in here so often, how can I not remember your order Doyeon?"

If Doyeon's face wasn't red enough before, she was now flushed two shades darker.

The barista now turns to Jihyun.

Ah.

She sees why Doyeon liked her so much. The girl's adorable. Full bangs, bright-smile, she literally could be carrying the sun in her eyes.

"And what can I get you?" She asked her.

Her voice even matched her face, adorable.

"Hmm..." Jihyun quickly scanned the menu, "what would you recommend?"

"Well, our fall specials this month are the creme brulee latte and pumpkin spice cappuccino which are both pretty good," The barista paused to think a little before lowering her voice "but between you and me, the sweet potato latte is better than the two."

"Great, I'll take that then."

The two chose a table near the window, where there's a decent view of the trees outside, just starting to grow little buds.

"What happened to 'I'm gonna ask her out'?"

"Shut up, she might hear," Doyeon hissed through gritted teeth.

She quickly looked back over at the counter where the barista's still busy making the drinks then back to Jihyun.

"I'll ask her... next time." She told her quietly.

Jihyun bursted out laughing before covering it with a cough.

You didn't understand how amusing it was for her to see thee campus crush and heartbreaker sitting across from her, red-faced and stammering over some female barista.
