"Okay everybody listen up!" Eric shouted over the crowd.
He had assumed position as the main coordinator at this point into the night as Jihyun, adorable as it was, seemed to be out of commission with the amount of alcohol she had earlier.
"Inside this box," He explained, "Are different games/missions for you guys to complete around the resort. To mark your mission as complete there must be photo and/or video evidence or it will count as a fail. If you do not come back to this room within five minutes, it will also be considered a fail."
Earlier they had gotten all the freshmen to write down one activity/challenge that could be done around the resort to use as game prompts. This way, they would have no reason to complain that the challenges were boring and him and Jihyun wouldn't have to come up with all of them by themselves. Two rats with one rock or whatever the saying was.
The students all sat in a circle, spinning a bottle to pick the challengers for each mission, or the "date" for the game. And with that they left the kids to entertain themselves.
He headed back to the podium where Jihyun was drinking some water, looking more awake.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" He asked.
"Not the greatest, but much better, the water helped. Thanks for taking care of all this for me Eric I really, really, really appreciate it." She flashed a smile at him.
Dimples. It was the first thing he noticed. Two deep prominent ones in each side of her cheek.
"You're staring," She commented.
"I am? I think you're still drunk," He lied, hoping she'd believe him in her half-drunken state.
"Oh okay" It worked.
She stood up and stretched her arms, "So how's the game going."
"Well enough,"
The first pair of students came back from finishing their mission and showed him and Jihyun their photo evidence in return for a breakfast voucher. They did a quick headcount, about two other pairs of students had been dispatched at the moment, the rest were still spinning the bottle and drawing lots.
One by one the pairs begin to cycle in and out and they began to run low on breakfast vouchers.
At 11:00pm everyone was back.
Except... there were still two vouchers in Eric's hand. A quick headcount confirmed their suspicions, two students were missing.
"Okay, does anyone not see their friend in the room." Jihyun asked.
"Minhee!"
"No, I'm right here."
"Michelle" Someone calls out.
"And Dojung!" Another student calls out.
"Okay thank you," She tells them all, "Everyone who is here, you are dismissed for curfew, please head back to your rooms quietly and do not disturb the other guests at the resort. Breakfast will be served at 10am tomorrow morning and checkout will be at 1pm followed by lunch, please be on time for these events."
There's a unanimous mumble of agreement as the group slowly disbanded, each heading to their respective destinations.
"What about the two students?" Eric asked as the final student left the room.
"Right," Jihyun sighed and knelt to the floor where a box sat.
It was labelled HYU MT DO NOT TOUCH.
"Take this," she tossed him a flashlight and grabbed one for herself. "Now let's go find those damn kids."
