A 5 week tour of the Dragon country, Even thinking of the trip ahead made Saffron's knees buckle. Saffron was not about to let up a perfect opportunity so she made sure to pack all of her best outfits and her most alluring perfumes. She was going to make sure this would be the trip where she gets the King's heart, and he realizes that Saffron is perfect for him.

Saffron started her career almost 4 years ago as the king's personal assistant, and since day one she knew she was in love with him. They got along so well, they had similar humor, the same favorite color, and their astrological signs are compatible! So after all this time of waiting and buttering up, she truly believes she has him where she wants him. He must love her back at this point!

Saffron double checked everything which was laid neatly out on her dining room table, her luggage was all labeled, her makeup which, complement her lovely green eyes. She double checked that her paperwork was crisp and clean and had no visible blemishes and with a final check Saffron hummed in approval.

She climbed into bed after spending almost three hours in the bathtub scrubbing and polishing, she was ready for bed. After triple checking her alarm clock was set she laid her head down on the pillow, and with the click of her light she let herself drift away into the lovely world of dreams.

Her alarm went off at 3:30 a.m. and immediately she sprung out of bed to start her day, she was ecstatic and filled with determination to get what she needed. So without a moment's rest she did all she needed to do. She brushed her teeth, styled her hair, and did her makeup, everything she did was up to the highest expectations of the day.

She walked to the train station, the air was brisk but heavy with summertime moisture, there was no morning sun, and most street lights and store fronts where off and lifeless. And yet Saffron still held her head up high and strolled along the street, her breath visible in the air before her and her rolling suitcase struggling to keep up with her. Saffron felt like nothing could go wrong as she walked up to the station. The classic glass fixtures gave off a warm glow that bugs flew around. Saffron smiled at one of the janitors who seemed flustered by her attention, he just smiled and kept sweeping the tiles near the platform.

Saffron knew she was attractive, she was the talk of the town in high school and in college she had plenty of boyfriends. Even despite the fact she could never keep them for long, but she attributed this to destiny. Clearly she was meant to marry the king and someone out there knew to keep her single so she could mingle her way into his heart.

She felt her cheeks heat up as butterflies fluttered around in her chest, she looked up at the clock and was happy to know she was almost an hour early. So sitting down on one of the benches she waited contently for her job to start. She watched the moths flop against the lamps and flutter around in confusion, she took in the arches adorned above the platform from when it was built almost a century ago.

Saffron was so caught in her thoughts she barely noticed when Comet strolled into the station, she almost jumped out of her seat as he grumbled and sat next to her. "Jesus! You need a bell or something." Saffron grumbled as she pulled a compact out of her purse to check she was still up to standards, Comet just snorted and Saffron looked up at him with a raised eyebrow. "What is that about?" Saffron questioned snapping the compact closed and tucking it back into her purse, Comet scratched his stubble with a smile. "Oh nothing, I just was enjoying your make-up." Comet fibbed turning away from her to hide his grin, Saffron just inhaled and remembered to stay calm and collected so when she's Queen he'll regret it. "Hardy har har, you're just jealous you can't have this!" Saffron retorted sitting back in, Comet turned to her and gave her a look with a lip curled up in disgust. "Keep making that face and it'll stick like that." Saffron dryly responded pulling up her folder and hiding Comet from her sight. Comet just sighed and Saffron smiled a little as she flipped through the papers, she read everything once over and then tucked the folder back into her purse.
