Saffron knew what she had to do, she had to get rid of the evidence but the question is how would she do it? She decided to hide the bottle, that was her main goal. She made her way back to the train and the whole scene was a nightmare, yellow tape stretched across doors and crowds of reporters surrounded the perimeter screaming questions and flashing cameras as police tried to push them back.
Rows of staff sat waiting and everything just felt chaotic, Saffron pushed through the crowd and when she reached the police officer she was stopped. "I have orders from the King, let me through!" Saffron commanded pushing through the blockade, the reporters tried to swarm her but she quickly made her way to the investigator without getting more than a couple scuffs on her.
Privy Eye was a stocky Brown dragonpony with eyes that burnt through Saffron's skull but her smile was warm, Saffron held out the scroll to Privy and she took it and quickly looked through it and looked at Saffron. "Wringer start asking your questions, take them into the first train car. The rest of the team with me, we've got the ok to start." Privy exclaimed, sending orders every which way and soon people were hustling and bustling, running to and fro.
Saffron just began on her way to where she needed to be, the staff train car. She quickly went onto the train and made her way down to the train car, and with a slide of a door she was beside her bed. Just as before she slid out the bag but this time she brought the whole bag, she looked at the bag wondering what she would do with it but she moved quickly when she heard the sound of a door open. She went out the opposite door and made her way down the train cars, once she has made it down three cars she finally stopped and took a breath.
She looked around and quickly realized she was stood in the middle of the kitchen, all of its contents pushed around from the sudden stop. That's when Saffron knew what she had to do with the bottle, the chef had been asleep so he couldn't have known she was in there, and the maid in the staff car was reading and couldn't have seen Saffron poison the tea. Saffron smiled to herself a little as she threw the empty bottle away in the trash can along with the other tea items used to make the cup.
She then looked around and left the car as fast as possible, and made her way down to the main investigation making sure not to be seen. "There you are! So you're serving in the place of the King right?" Privy Eye asked loudly, reaching for Saffron's shoulder, Saffron tensed up at the touch and felt her heart rate jump at the surprise. "Yes I am acting as the King's eyes." Saffron responded with a huff trying to keep her cool, Privy eye just nodded with a hum. "So you were the one with the tea, did you poison it?" Privy Eye whispered getting close to Saffron's face, Saffron just snorted in disgust and pinned her ears.
"I would never hurt the royals." Saffron cooed, her eyebrows furrowing up as she thought of Flame and his condition. Privy Eye gave Saffron a harty slap on the back and Saffron gasped at the hard hit, "I believe you, so show me where you took the tea." Privy Eye smiled at Saffron who only smiled back and began her way down to the kitchen, she felt anxiety creeping down her spine as they walked past Saffron's bag. She almost jumped out of her skin when someone immediately searched through the bag as they passed it, but she only clenched her jaw and kept walking.
With a heavy thud of the door Saffron showed them the kitchen, Privy Eye motioned for her people to search the area. "I made the tea in here, I turned around and had to look for the sugar. It took me a little while but I found it and then put it in the dish." Saffron explained walking through the motions, Privy Eye looked around and hummed in thought.
"Was there anyone else in here?" Privy asked, walking around looking at the hanging baskets of food, and then running her claws over the counter. "Uh yes the Chef, he was sitting in that stool with his head down. I thought he was asleep." Saffron began to explain, she bit her lip as two people searched the area around the chefs work space.
"Chief You should take a look at this." One of the investigators called out as they lifted up the glass bottle from the trash can, Privy Eye quickly ran over and looked at the bottle. She turned it and watched the few drops of liquid spin around in its container, then motioned for a bag. Saffron felt light headed as they bagged up the bottle and rushed it away, most likely for testing. "It was the chef. Someone go get him, I'm going to question him." Privy Eye demanded snapping her fingers as someone ran out of the cart.
Saffron leaned against the counter as she tried not to collapse. "Ma'am are you alright?" Asked a cop walking over and helping support her, Saffron just let out a heavy sigh. "I just can't believe what's going on, who would ever want to hurt the Queen!" Saffron fibbed hiding her face in a hug with the cop, she added a couple fake sobs and he patted her back. "Don't worry Saffron, where gonna get that monster behind bars. I promise." Privy Eye growled slamming her fist against the nearby table, Saffron just looked at her and sighed.
Saffron was barely getting away with this, but by the skin of her teeth she could do this, she could fool the country and she could fool the King.
