Today the announcer told us there was gonna be a Welcome Back Dance next Friday! I love dancing!! But I told myself I was only gonna go if someone asked me. So I hope someone does!
"Hey Caden!"
"Hey Jazz! Is it ok if I call you that?"
"Yeah totally! So what are you drawing?"
"Oh just something but I'm done now. Heading to lunch?"
"Yeah. Hey why don't you sit with us today? You can sit next to me and Becca?"
"Sure, why not?"
"Hahaha awesome!"
After lunch we went out back for recess and me and Caden played basketball. We were tied.. until he took a half court shot and made it. I say its a lucky shot, but ya know... Bell rang and we all walked to class together.
"So Beccs are you going to the dance?"
"Maybe. You?"
"Only if someone asks me. Caden?"
"Uhh I'm not sure yet. I kinda don't wanna go alone."
"Well you don't have to!"
"Yeah you heard Jasmine, all you got to do is ask her!"
"Uhhh..."
"Becca!"
"What!? You guys would be cute, come on! Try to tell me you don't like each other,"
"We don't like each other."
"We don't like each other."
"Fine. I'll shut up then."
"Sorry Caden..."
"Its ok Jazz"
He smiled again! I love his smile and I hope he asks me, but I'm pretty sure Beccs ruined that for me. I hope not!
Later that day I was at home doing homework outside with someone I call my sister, Elizabeth when my phone rang.
"Caden?"
"Who's that?" Elizabeth asked.
"A friend from school shush!"
I answered the phone.
"Hey Caden, What's up?"
"Hey uh I just wanted to know... did you uh have anything to do with what happened today in Social Studies?"
"No I swear I didn't!"
"Haha okay. So whats up?"
"Just doing homework outside with my sister."
"You have a sister!?"
"Well kinda.. She's a really close friend and we do everything together."
"Oh well um I kinda wanted to ask you something but if your doing homework.."
"No its fine I'm almost done, go ahead and ask!"
" Well uh you know how you said you'd only go to the dance of someone asked and how I didn't wanna go alone?"
"Ya? What about it?"
"Well uh......"
