"ALICIA REYNOLDS!!!" I heard my mom yell as I stepped through the door. I cringed knowing I was about to be yelled at for a good 30 minutes.

"Yes?" I said smiling sheepishly as she stood at the top of the stairs with her hands on her hips.

She did not look happy.

"I got a call from your English teacher today, she told me she gave you detention because you came in late multiple times. What did I tell you about going late to school missy!?" she said pulling my ear as I reached the top step.

"ow ow owww! I'm sorry !" I said grabbing my ear as she let go.

"Go to your room right now" she said pointing upstairs"

I knew better than to argue so I started up the stairs.

"Give me your phone too" she said

"What!? But thats not fa-"

"Give. me. the. phone." She said dangerously calm.

I groaned and turned it off before giving it to her.

I stomped up the stairs and shut my room door a little harder than normal, but not slamming it because I would get whooped.

"Don't make me come up there!" I heard my mom yell as I put my backpack down on the floor next to my desk.

I sighed. 

oh well, at least i'd finish my homework on time today.

Ughhhhh but I can't text Lauren.

I turned on on my LED Lights and got to work.

I woke up to my alarm Beeping loudly. I groaned and turned it off. I looked at my desk and saw that my phone was there. I jumped out of bed to see if Lauren had texted me. There was a post-it note attached to my phone.

I don't want to hear about you getting detention next time. I love you, have a great day at school and behave!- Love Mom

I looked at the time and surprisingly I woke up on time. I smiled and put on my outfit for the day. And checked my phone. oh my god Lauren texted me.
