Not All Just Roses

Oh, Shit!!!

(Gracie's POV...........)

After a long day at work, Qin and the kids finally came and picked me up from work. "Hey, baby," Qin said kissing me on the lips. "Hey, honey, and hello my sweet angles," I said turning around towards the kids. "Hi, mommy," the kids said with smiles.

"I got a surprise for you when we get home," he whispered into my ear before I can fully turn back around in my seat. Oooo, a surprise. I wonder what it could be. We soon pulled off in the car on our way home.

We finally pulled into our driveway and I realized that there was a car there that I didn't recognize. I looked at Qin but he just kept looking straight. The kids hopped out of the car and ran up to the porch as I did the same. I unlocked the door and walked in to see my best friends. "Surprise!!!" JJ, Thomas, Lorie, and Jay all said together as I had my hand over my mouth.

"Oh my gosh, Qin, this was the surprise?" I asked as I turned around to Qin. "Yep, I know you been wanting to see them. So, I invited them over," he said as he wrapped his arms around my hips. I walked towards everyone to hug them. "Hey, aunt Lorie, hey uncle Thomas, hey, uncle JJ, hey, uncle Jay," the triplets said as they saw my crew. "Well, hello little ones. Go in your playroom, Andrew and Jackson are waiting for you," Lorie said as the kids ran into their playroom. Andrew is Jay and Lorie's kid, and Jackson is Thomas and JJ's kid that they adopted.

"Words can not express how good it is to see you all," I said as we all sat down on the couch. "We have so much to catch you up on, "JJ said as he leaned over to speak.

After a few hours of talking and catching up, we decided to let them stay the night. I went to go tuck the kids in their bed and allowed the crew to stay in the guest bedrooms. Qin, the crew, and I all stayed up having conversations when Qin got a phone call. "Hello," he said answering the phone. "It's my cousin Jacob," he mouthed to me while still on the phone. At first, he looked like he was happy that his cousin called, but his smile soon turned into a look of shock.

"Wait, what?" I heard him say while he stood from the couch. He dropped his arms down, handed me the phone, and ran upstairs. "Hey, Jacob, it's me, Gracie. What's going on?" I asked while looking at everybody else. "Oh my gosh," I said as I just heard some terrible news. "What? What is it?" Lorie asked getting impatient.

"Qin's parents just died,"
