Tribute to George Floyd.

.

They said you were guilty,
But nothing was wrong when it comes to races.
Yet in the face of  racism,
You are already sued.

I'm not like you.
We were born in different countries with different skin colors;
Yet I'm like you.
I understand how it feels to be discriminate against and to fight alone.

Please don't let hatred get in our way,
For what we need is love and peace instead of hostility and contempt.

Breathe,
Breathe in the fresh air of heaven,
Where everyone is equal and loved by the generous God,
And rest in peace.

Hope you'll have a second chance to be born again,
Into a world that is way better,
Where people are loving and caring,
Where each and every life matters.

.

This is not a poem no matter how I wish it could be. It's just strong emotions I've been feeling ever since I heard the news.

I truly hope that everyone could be treated equally, and after the death of George Floyd, something could be changed, and make his death worthwhile.
