PART THREE
“Oh, no.” Lola whispered as the three of them watched the entrance close. “Oh, no, oh, no, oh, no.” she shook her head.
“Um, Lola?” Pika said, looking fearful. “I think we have bigger problems.” She pointed to a spawner. “There’s one in each room. Where are the torches?”
Lola pulled them out of her inventory, but before she could place them, the spawner activated. An enderman immediately appeared in the room. “Get back!” Lola yelled, pulling Tweety behind her. The three of them watched, full of fear, as the enderman picked up a stone block from the wall. It then teleported away.
“What the—?” Pika raised an eyebrow. “It didn’t kill us.”
Lola shrugged. “Let’s wait for more…maybe if they take enough blocks, they’ll take a wall out and we can get out of here.”
Pika nodded, and the three of them watched as about 10 more endermen came into the room and took blocks, one by one. After they teleported away, they instantly teleported back to retrieve another block.
“Is this a normal thing?” Tweety asked.
“Nope. Not at all.” Pika shook her head. “Normally, they pick up a block and hit you with it. They’re…I don’t even know what they’re doing.”
“I think they’re taking them somewhere. They take one, come back with none? Yeah, they’re taking them somewhere.” Lola said with a worrisome look on her face.
“Is that bad?” Tweety asked in bewilderment.
Lola laughed nervously. “Yeah, that’s bad. It’s…it’s like they’re taking the world apart. Block by block.”
Soon, the entire triple dungeon was almost completely gone—and it didn’t look like the endermen had any plans of stopping. Lola led the three of them out once an entire wall was gone, and then they sprinted to where they had started from.
“We got away. Wanna go right?” Pika asked, pointing to the tunnel on the right of her.
Lola gave her a stern look. “This isn’t the time for joking. We’ve got to get home. Whatever’s happening…it can’t be good.”
Tweety raised an eyebrow. “What’s happening? Is it bad? Are we gonna get killed?”
Pika sighed. “We don’t know, noob. All we know is that’s probably not good. Okay? Now climb the ladder.”
