Kira walked into Buddy C's with a positive and kind attitude. She bottled the uneasiness she had felt before up and sealed away. She walked up to the host. He was tall and had a geeky look at his appearance. He smiled politely, improving her confidence a bit more. It always calmed her when she came face to face with a positive person.

"Hello." She flashed him a smile. "Can I get a table for two?"

He looked down at the electronic pad, swiping and tapping, and excused himself for a moment. Kira waited patiently and looked around. She was so caught up in taking in all the features that she didn't hear the man she was meeting come up behind her until he cleared his throat. She turned, facing him, looking him up and down, taking in his appearance. He dressed casually. A white dress shirt with jeans and black dress shoes.

"You clean up nice." She told him, giving him a kind smile.

His lips turned up, mirroring her smile. "I can say the same. You look beautiful."

A warm feeling coursed through her body at his words. It wasn't every day that a man told her she was beautiful. Her father didn't count. He was her father and of course, he'd tell his daughter she looked beautiful and he loves her. The young man came back, and his eyes wavered to Giovanni before looking back at me. His lips turned up in another smile while grabbing two menus.

They followed him silently to the assigned table we got, and Giovanni pulled out the chair and slowly scooted Kira up to the table once she was situated. Giovanni took his seat and the young man placed their menus down. He made a brief statement that the server will be here shortly to assist us before walking off. He left them alone in the silence and she only made it easy for this conversation to turn out awkward. The menu was blocking his view of her face. She pretended to look for something to eat when she already had in mind a simple salad. She was studying the menu, and Giovanni could tell. He found it amusing.

She was nervous, though she tried to prove otherwise.

"Kira,"

"Yes?" Kira replied, her head still buried in the menu.

He reached over and pushed the top edge of the menu down, revealing her face to him. Kira was nervous, and all the built confidence she once had suddenly flown out the door. Thanks to his charming looks.

"As much as I want to tease you about what you are doing, I go against it and get down to the purpose of this meeting. Conversation works two ways." He stared with an amusing smile.

Kira sighed and placed the menu flat on the table. "I'm sorry. I've never been in this..." She trailed off.

He nods, understanding. "Perhaps it will be easier if I told you this will all be new to me too."

"How so? Not to bring up old wounds but you were engaged and was a moment away from being married."

Yeah, Kira did a bit of research on Mr. Billionaire. He was n of Arizona's top African American billionaire and was engaged to a woman named Leah Summers eight months ago. They claimed she left him at the altar and no one got an answer as to why. That's when the wild bachelor reputation started and it made her hesitant of really continuing further with any of this.

A grim look crossed his face. "Well, I wasn't. You will be the first."

She raised a questionable brow. "Are you insinuating that we will wed for real?" White wedding gown. Exchange of vows and rings with the ultimate kiss. In the eyes of God and his house.

"Yes, Kira. What else did you think when I proposed? This has to be legit or it won't work. If we got married falsely, think of the unacceptable outcome that could happen."
