Once upon a time is a fairy tale beginning, right? Or maybe greeting the reader, with life and magic, either way, that's not how this story is going to start. Instead, i'm going to introduce myself, and tell you what hell is like, okay?

My name is Melanie, weird name I know, my last name kills me though, I won't tell you yet, because I don't want to, and trust me, there's other things more important. So I'm Melanie, don't call me Mel, or Mellie, or whatever weird knickknack name you 'ed call me, don't do it.

My mother is a teacher, well, a helper for special kids, kids with disabilities and things like that. She loves the job, and she comes home every night exhausted, and crabby, so when she says she enjoys it, I'm like, hmm, right, if you say so.

My father, or I should say dad, works in a business, working for law and all that crap, useless stuff in my book. My dad isn't home much and my mom comes home late, so it's just me and my room.

Actually, not just me, I have a brother, but he isn't in the picture as much, he's in the army, and goes places that I didn't even know existed, so he's pretty much out of the picture. The only other person I have left is my sister. I love her to death, she's my best friend, my one and only, and technically like a second mom to me.

She's taller than me by an inch or two, and we look nothing alike. I don't look like anyone in my family, which I've always found weird, but never actually put any thought into it. Anyway, my sister, Brianna, has a boyfriend and she doesn't hang out with me as much. But, that doesn't bother me at all, I get it, she's a high high school girl, and I'm just a sophomore.

A lonely, freak of nature, with nothing to do in life, but live.

We live in South Carolina, by the beach, which is amazing, so I can go swimming pretty much anytime I want. The ocean or the in ground pool and hot tub, my pick. I go to South Side High school, where there's so many goody to goods and not any free styles. I'm an advanced kid though, If I get a C or lower, I'm grounded for 2 weeks, maybe even longer, the punishment is bearable though, my I phone 5c is taken away, along with my I pad. I still have my Mac though, so I'm good.

I would be one of those girls who wear fancy clothes, by fancy I mean, ripped skinny jeans, t-shirt and a blue Aeropostale jacket with black and white converse. My other friends wear dresses and skirts, but that's totally out of my book, even for church, which I barley go to.

My family goes to church but I don't, I see no reason in going, I mean, going to church doesn't prove anything, other than the fact that it's just a group of old people and kids learning about God. So no, I'm not much of a Christian, but I wasn't really into the whole thing either.

I don't have a lot of friends but I'm not friendless. My friends are the popular kids, the all stars and what I would call, the know it all's. They all play sports, including me, and they're in Student Council, and all that. Me, I'm just in sports.

Basketball is my life, and Swim is too, as well is Track and Volleyball. I would say I'm the best at Swimming though, so living by the Ocean is a plus. Whenever I'm not busy with life, I like going to the shopping areas, and parties. By parties I mean, celebrations, not the get drunk and have sex while your young type of thing.

Talking about parties, the question might of entered your genius brain, have I ever gone to a party? The answer would be hell yeah! I'm a rebel, and I like hang with the cool ones, okay so getting drunk and all that isn't cool but I don't get drunk, I've never gotten drunk before, and since I do sports, I shouldn't drink and get drunk. I go for the social life.

My parent's don't know about it though, which is a good thing, but Bree does. She knows everything, and it's not that I've told her before, but the fact that she goes into my room all the time and looks through my stuff, which isn't the cleanest. One time, she got on my Mac computer and saw some pretty inappropriate things. I explained to her that I was just curious on what my friends where saying, so I look it up, and here it is. Naked people having sex, Bree told me to never look at the things again, and that I shouldn't be filling my mind with that useless junk, but I don't listen.
