I didn't get much sleep last night after me and Kakashi talked. I tossed and turned all night, never seeming to get comfortable. My stomach was nauseous, my head was splitting, and I had this feeling of being watched. Gulliver asked me to call on him if I needed to, but I didn't want to bother him, plus I can handle myself.

When the morning sun was half way in the sky a soft knock was sounded on my door, I sat up in bed and yawned,

The door creaked open and a white haired boy slipped in, closing the door with a soft click, he pressed his ear up to the door and let out a sigh of relief.

"G-Gunta?" I asked getting off of the bed and taking a few steps close to him.

He quickly turned around and gasped at me, his violet eye shaking, as his snowflake one didn't move an inch.

He took a few steps into my room, his steps are wobbly, like he's uncertain of something. "I thought you were sleeping?"

I gave him a confused look and raise an eyebrow, "No? I couldn't sleep last night."

He bit his bottom lip, looking around, as if he's looking for someone. "Gunta? Are you okay?" I asked stepping in front of him.

He looked up at me, our eyes connecting, and I had this unbearable urge to just hug him close to me, hug him and never let him go. A motherly instinct within me swelled as I slowly reached for him, his body physically tensed up as my hand touched his shoulder. I pulled him to my chest, wrapping my arms around his shoulders and holding onto the back of his head. He buried his face into my neck and hair, and wrapped his arms around my waist and grabbed two handfuls of my shirt and held them tightly.

His body shook as he began to cry, they were silent cries, but with his body shaking like it is, and the wetness on my shirt said it all. My own body betrayed me as a sob caught in my throat, my heart broke for this boy, and I didn't know why. Maybe it was because his didn't know a mother's love. Maybe it was because everyone he loved left him and he was forced to struggle in life until he found this Village and this castle. Maybe it was because he reminded me of a broken me many years ago. Either way, I needed to love this boy with everything I have, he needed my love.

"Gunta. You have nothing to cry about anymore. I'm here now, and I'll never let anyone hurt you ever again. This I swear to you." He held me tighter and then pulled away, I gave him a bright smile and wiped his tears from his face.

"Now, no more tears, okay?" He smiled back and nodded his head. "How bout, I meet you in the courtyard, and we train a bit yeah?"

His eyes lit up and his smile grew, showing perfect teeth, "Yeah!" He ran to the open window and Jumped out. I ran to the window and looked down, Gunta wasn't there, it was like he just vanished in thin air.

"Milady?" A maid called behind me.

I turned around, standing tall in front of the woman who slightly coward before me, "Yes?"

"I-i'm here to make your bed."

"Oh? Okay then. Go ahead." I slipped on my boots and hurried out of the room to meet Gunta for training. I found the archway to the courtyard in no time. As I walked out into the open area I saw Gunta sitting on a rock, an ice fox standing behind him,
