(Y/N) POV
I watch as he stands up and walks to the kitchen, pouring water in two glasses, and walking back over to me."(Y/N) you know I would gladly let you and Ji Sung sleep at my place. Namjoon has too many plants." He jokes while handing me one of the glasses and I laugh a little.
"Thanks but I think your brothers plants will be a little comforting." I sigh and take a sip.
"(Y/N)." He takes my free hand and intertwines his fingers in mine.
"I am here for you and our child." He says sternly.
I gulp down the water and slowly remove my hand.
"I know, and I'm grateful for that but I need time." I whisper and set the glass on the coffee table slowly. "Then why did you come to me now? Why not wait until you're ready?" He sits across from me and takes a glance at Ji Sung napping on the couch.
"I- I don't know, I just- you were the first person that came to mind since I told Hoseok about him not being the real father." I rub my temples slowly.
"(Y/N), let me take Ji-Sung until tomorrow. You can go back and talk to Hoseok." He says gently and I look at him. "But-"
"(Y/N)." He interrupts and stands up.
"I don't know what Hoseok did to make you leave and bring Ji Sung and yourself to me, but what I do know is that we're not completely innocent either," He explains slowly, not breaking eye contact with me.
"I know you still care about him because you wouldn't be stressing like this if you didn't. I will not take you away from someone you still want to be with. So let me take care of Ji Sung tonight so you can have a decent conversation and talk it out." He says and walks over to the couch Ji Sung was sleeping on and slowly lifting him up, his head rested on his shoulders and he kept sleeping peacefully.
I stand up slowly and look at them both cautiously.
"I won't say anything about the situation to him, I'll just say I'm a friend right now until you're sure it's time for us to be together." He states and rubs his back gently and I nod slowly.
"Go." He waves me off, "We'll be ok." He says and walks off into the kitchen, bouncing him lightly.
I take a deep breath and grab my bag and go out to the car, heading back to Hoseok's.
-[Not Yet Revealed]- POV
"Okay..." I mumble to myself as I continue holding Ji Sung up."You sure do sleep a lot... how do you ever fall asleep at night?" I mumble to him and take out a pan and start getting out ingredients for an omelet. "I know mom isn't the best chef, wanna know why?" I look at the sleeping boy in my arms. "I was always cooking for her." I smile and crack open an egg into the pan and turn on the oven.
I knew (Y/N) when she still lived with her parents, our parents were business partners.
(Y/N) and I grew up together, and started dating our second year of high school, we were together all the time until she finished college. After college she got into a big fight with her parents, because they wanted her to take over the family business, which dealt with technology, such as phones and laptops. But she didn't want that, she wanted to be a veterinarian.
She loves animals so much. She had decided that's what she wanted to do when she helped an abandoned cat on the street, it came out of the bushes and was cut up all over and hungry, so she took it in and nursed it back to health without her parents knowing. The cat eventually died because it was old and she was devastated but it was what inspired her to become a veterinarian.
Obviously her parents were opposed to this, and threatened to cut off all their ties with her and empty her bank account. And so she left, and that's exactly what they did. Along with her parents, I lost all contact with her.
Then, I was here in Gwangju for business since I took over my fathers company and met (Y/N) again. She was closing up her vet for the night and I came up to her, and asked if she wanted to hang out for a while, catch up. We had a couple bottles of soju that night but— she's a lightweight— and so am I, and that's how she ended up pregnant.
When she called me after getting DNA results, she explained that she thought it was her husband, Hoseok's son, but it looked nothing like him. She got the DNA test for him and true to her fear, I was the father.
She kept the results from Hoseok and let him believe that he was the father, and I wasn't able to see him. I wasn't even able to be there for the birth because- I didn't know.
I want her back more than anything.
(Y/N) POV
I knock on the front door hesitantly and within seconds it opened, but only enough to for Hoseok to peek out to see who is is.From what I can see, Hoseok is still in his clothes from this morning, his eyes were puffy and red from crying and his hair seems messy from not being brushed.
"I feel like we've been in this situation before." He jokes half-heartedly and opens the door more.
"Hoseok we have some talking to do." I say placing a hand on my hip.
"Where's Ji Sung?" He asks avoiding what I said and I bite at my lip, not looking at him. "You really brought him to his real father's? You were serious?" His voice cracks and I look at him and sigh sadly. "Yes Hoseok, it's true. I'd really not like to have this conversation outside so please let me in." I plead and he steps aside to let me in.
I hear the door close behind me as I walk to the formal living room, and I let myself sink into the couch that Hoseok and I commonly fell asleep on after work. He does the same and looks at me hesitantly.
"D-do you really want to end it (Y/N)? This whole thing?" He asks and then looks around the room.
"M-maybe if I started working from home-"
"Hoseok it's not because of your job. I grew up with people who work in business, I get it. It's the fact that we both cheated on each other." I cut him off and he sniffles, wiping his eyes.
I look at him and he looks back at me, I feel my guilt start eating me up from the inside out as I look into his eyes, he looks so— broken. I feel so bad for it.
"(Y/N) I was wrong. I-I went out for a drink with my makeup artist. At first I said no- but I gave in when she kept asking." He looks down. "I got drunk. I didn't realize what I had really done until it had already happen. I went straight home to apologize and explain— but when I saw you and Ji Sung I just— I couldn't." He explains and tears start to stream down his face.
"I-I understand if your decision is final. If you want to go back to Ji Sung's biological dad— I get it, and I'll work things out with my dad." He says slowly as he starts to stand up and I feel my breath catch in my throat. "You haven't even let me explain yet." I grab his shoulder.
"Hoseok I was closing up shop and I was tired, he- he wanted to catch up. He was an ex from before I moved here. He took me out and we had a little to drink while catching up and we ended up drunk. Then it happened." I explained and put my head down, releasing him. I feel the couch sink next to me as he slowly sits down next to me again.
"Who was it (Y/N)?" He asks and I sigh and look back him, meeting his eyes.
"Namjoon's brother,"
"Kim SeokJin."
