Am I Worthy (Illumi x Reader)

The Fight

Over the next week, I have been going through a routine of waking at 6 am to train till noon, to go and chat with Kikyo and have an amazing meal that Gotoh would bring for me. Till the hour of 5 pm, I excuse myself from Kikyo and Kalluto, so I could shower and change into clean clothes, and as always I join Alluka and Killua in the gaming/playroom. Throughout the whole week, I got extremely close with Kikyo, Killua, and Alluka, while I had major respect for Silva and Zeno. For Kalluto he seemed very quiet but we did have some conversations while having tea with Kikyo. Though with Milluki that's another story, I hardly see him because that boy is always in his room, and If by some surprise I were to see him around the mansion he would just glare at me while making a tched' noise just after I say hello and wave to him. As for Illumi, I had zero chance to speak to him because he was out on a job and will be returning tomorrow for our fight.

"(Y/N)!!", is all I hear as I come back to reality, I look over to Alluka and Killua. "Yes", I say. "How are you feeling about tomorrow, with the fight with big brother Illumi", Killua said to me. I look down saying, "well I don't know how to feel about it. I don't know anything about illumi so I don't know what to expect?'' "Well Illumi is pretty strong, he is a manipulator nen user, he uses needles, but over this whole week you have been giving it your all, I'm sure you will be able to put up a fight with Illumi. " Killua stated. I look at Killua while nodding, "so he's a manipulator just like me", I stated. I then smiled and yelled, "I can do this". Alluka then lunged at me, hugging me tight, "Aye (Y/N) you got this, I'm rooting for you". I hugged Alluka as I smiled brightly. "Well then (Y/N) you should be heading to bed to get well rested up", Killua says. "Yeah your right, well then good night kiddos see ya tomorrow", I say while standing up. "Goodnight (Y/N)", Alluka said while waving. While Killua gave a small pout as he said, "I'm not a kid". I chuckled as I walked out of the room and started to walk to my room.

-Time skip Next Morning- (Brought to you by adorable Alluka)

I sit up as I hear the alarm going off, as I reach over to the bedside table I hit the top of the alarm, turning off the beeping noise. After looking at the time which read 4 am, I headed over to the dresser to dress up in a (f/c) shirt (Favorite color), black shorts with black fishnets underneath and black heeled combat boots (Sorry if you don't like the outfit you can change it to what you prefer better). Once done changing I put my hair up into a ponytail (You can change the hairstyle if you want). As I looked one last time in the full body mirror I smiled then walked out of my room and headed to the training room. Once reaching the training room I activated my shield around my body as I made about 20 golden spheres, as I shot the spheres at the dummies I also lunged towards them. When reaching the dummies 3 stood tall while the others were demolished, I swung my arm to the first 2 dummies cutting off their heads with my golden bracelet blade (So as the protagonist can manipulate her shield to become golden spheres she can also manipulate it to create bracelet blades, which are on both wrists). I then turned around, swung my leg causing the dummy to fall and stabbed it through its chest.

(Btw it's 8 am during breakfast)

As I walked into the dining room I saw the whole zoldyck family, well except Illumi. As I sat down I mentioned, "If I may ask but when will Illumi return from his job". Just as I finished my sentence, the one and only Illumi walked into the dining room and sat at the seat beside me. "Well, I guess that answers my question then", I said as I looked at Illumi. Kikyo then laughed softly, while Zeno and Silva both chuckled. "Good to see you back Illumi I assume the job was a success", Silva stated to Illumi. Illumi nodded at Silva saying, "yes it was". "Ah Illumi sweetheart, (Y/N) here has been training so much this week for the fight this afternoon, Ah I'm so excited to see you both little cuties fight," Kikyo said as she squealed a little. Illumi turned to look at me and said, "Oh, has she", just as I looked down, smiling softly while blushing from embarrassment. Milluki then spoke up as he rolled his eyes, "Tch look mother she's blushing madly she probably loves Illumi". I looked up at Milluki with my eyes widened, then at Illumi, I then blushed even more as I caught eyes with him. I turned my head the other way only to see Killua smirking, then hearing "OOOH MY (Y/N) Look at you, you look so adorable so flustered *Gasps* Now that I think of it, you and Illumi would look adorable together, (Y/N) what do you think about that" Kikyo Squealed as she clutched her hands together while looking at me. As I blinked multiple times I looked at Kikyo saying, "I-I W-Well---" Before being able to give a response the butlers soon came out and started serving the food, and with the fact that everyone was hungry they soon forgot about my answer and began to eat their food.

(By this time it's 11 am)

By this time the whole Zoldyck family was in the training room sitting down on sofas, just as (Y/N) and Illumi was in the center of the room preparing for their fight. As Illumi took out his needles five in each hand, (Y/N) looked down with eyes closed and breathed in deeply. Then Silva spoke, "You may begin". With that Illumi threw all ten needles, as they came my way, I opened my eyes which were now golden and levitated into the air as my shield covered my body all while I made ten golden spheres and threw them at Illumi's needles, breaking them in the process (I repeat, reader is BADASS!!!!). I drop to the ground and run towards Illumi and form my bracelet blades. As I ran Illumi threw five more needles as he also ran my way. I put up my shield but before it was completely up one needle grazed my right arm. I looked at my arm as I saw the small wound glowing then closed up (Yes you can heal wounds but only minor ones, so you would let Hisoka down when the clown hoe needs someone to sew his arm back on). I then swung at Illumi as he was close enough, Illumi caught my arm and started to flip me over. But I then swung my leg making him fall, but with Illumi still holding onto me, I also fell. 

As I propped myself up I looked at Illumi, my golden eyes returning to their normal color. For a long moment, we both looked at each other but sooner than later, Milluki spoke, "Tch why don't you both get a bedroom already". After hearing what Milluki had to say I Blushed deeply and moved from being on top of Illumi, I sat beside Illumi on my knees. Illumi then sat up and kept looking at (Y/N's) flushed face, and ever so slightly a smile appeared on his face. Illumi soon stood up and offered a hand to (Y/N) to stand. As I stood up from the help of Illumi,  the rest of the family stood up as well. "Other than that little accident (Y/N) you have grown strong, and I was pretty shocked when You levitated into the air", Zeno said. "Oh and her wound where Illumi's needle grazed her arm healed", Kalluto said. "Oh that's right", Kikyo said. I Smiled saying, "Those were some surprises I kept hidden for the fight". "Well then call us impressed (Y/N)", Silva spoke out.

Alluka then hugged me telling me, "(Y/N) let's go play". Smiling, I said, "Alright Alluka. With that Alluka grabbed my hand, telling Killua to try and catch us, laughing we both ran off to hide from Killua's clutches. Killua shakes his head, smiling as he runs after us. Zeno, Silva, and Kanato just watched as we ran, while Milluki rolled his eyes and started to walk back to his room. Kikyo watched Killua and (Y/N) lovingly as they both got along together. And Illumi himself looked at Killua, then to Alluka and finally to (Y/N), and at that moment as Illumi watched (Y/N), he felt his heartbeat race. At that moment Illumi saw (Y/N's) beautiful smile as she played with the two young Zoldyck's, Illumi saw those beautiful (E/C) eyes (Eye color). At that moment Illumi just saw (Y/N) and only her.
