Chapter 5 ~ Why
Remember: "It fears you more then you fear it."
What I saw next almost stopped my heart..
As I peeked my head through the door, suspecting to see children tied down like I was, I saw nothing. Absolutely nothing. It wasn't even a room. It was like a doorway to another world. All you could see was a huge bright white light emanating from the room. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, literally I couldn't. I wondered if I had been drugged of some sort and was just haveing a weird side effect. Ya that's it.
After I wrapped my head around that idea I closed the door carefully and slowly backed away. As I turned around I felt like I bumped into something. I turned all the way around and there they were. The children. They weren't crying anymore though, they were just staring at me. Then when i tried to escape they spoke in one eerie voice simultaneously. They said "Do not fear us, we need your help...this man...this man has accomplished the most dispicable thing a man can do.. He has taken the lives of many children..and Hannah is next. He's had her for almost all of her life but she believes this is her real father. You must stop him. Rescue Hannah and set us free!"
After the misty apparitions disappeared, I ran all throughout the house looking for Hannah.
"Hannah! Where are you? We need to get out of here right now!"
Hannah was nowhere to be found.
I saw a huge staircase so I ran up it as fast as I could calling for Hannah. Still no answer. I ran down the long narrow corridor searching for any sign of my new friend. I reached the end of the hall, there was a door..
I leaned my head against it and just as I was about to grab the handle, the door knob started turning. I started panicking so I headed to the next closest room and hid inside. I waited expecting to hear footsteps walking down the hall but instead I heard a very strange and unfamiliar sound. It sounded like something very heavy was being dragged up and down the halls. All of a sudden I hear loud noises.
*BOOM*
*THUD* *THUD* *THUD* *THUD*
The stairs were directly acrost from the room I was quivering in. I thought to myself for a moment then came to the realization that it could be Hannah! The man might have a hold of her and is finally going to finish what he started a long time ago. I have to save her!
I gathered up as much courage as I could and then bolted out of the room and came to a dead stop at the top of the staircase..
There lied Hannah at the bottom...
