The new neighbours moved in last week. They have 2 kids. And they both look emo, like me. The older kid is very fit. And, in all likelihood, straight as a ruler. Ugh. Still, at least they might cause a distraction for all the jocks that enjoy treating me like shit.
Fast forward to school

As I walked through the school gates, early, as usual, I noticed something strange. Two kids, already there. 45 minutes before school started. Both of them wearing black, skinny, ripped jeans and band shirts. One black hair, he was wearing an awesome jacket, one with brown hair & glasses. They were our new neighbours! Steeling my nerves, I went over to say hi - maybe introduce myself, if they didn't decide to hate me on sight - most people did.
