Catra POV

My lord this school is so stupid. Heck they even call this place BM. It is pretty fitting though, can't even get my shitty locker to open. I didn't think this place could get any shittier until little miss perfect showed up trying to save the damsel in distress by opening her locker. After her third failed attempt I thought she would give up, but now she's leading me to the office.

"Oh, yeah sorry. It's Catra."

We finally made it into the main office where Adora smiled at the secretary. "Good morning, I was helping our new student Catra out with her locker and it seems we have the wrong combination." My gosh she sounded so polite it was almost annoying.

"Oh dear I am so sorry kids. Here let me see if we can't fix that problem." She started typing on her keyboard and handed over two sheets of paper and a sticky note that had the correct combination. "I even printed off some hall passes for you two so hopefully you don't get in trouble."

"Thank you so much!" Adora cheered and hopped off with the papers.

"Yeah, thanks." I said starting after Adora. "Hey Blondie, think you can slow down?" It didn't matter. We were already back to my locker.

"Sorry, I just hate being late. Especially on the first day. Let's see if this new combo works now."

As Adora was trying the new combination I just stood there looking at her. Her shirt fit perfectly showing off her strong athletic body. And damn, those jeans she wore showed off all her assets in the best way. "Here we go!" She got the locker open.

"Thanks." I put what little stuff I had away and closed the locker. I started walking away and realized Adora was still walking beside me. "Are you following me Blondie? You know I can handle finding my classes on my own."

"Well it just so happens my class is this way." The look on Adora's face is as if she got punched in the stomach. She finally got to her class and I proceeded to mine that was just a few doors down.

Good job Catra. Oh well. It's best to keep distances from people. If I learned anything growing up in the Frightzone it's to keep people at safe distances. It's better—and safer—for everyone.

"It's so nice of you to finally join us. Class this is Catra. I expect you all to treat her with respect. Catra why don't you go have a seat next to Lonnie over there, she can catch you up. Welcome to Academic Writing, I am your teacher Madam Razz."

"Hey Lonnie." At least I got assigned a seat next to someone I know.

"Girl what took you so long? Class is almost over." Lonnie is a long time friend who also happens to be my foster sister. "Look, so you got lucky today. It was just rules and what not. No assignments yet. Try not to be late anymore okay."

"Sorry jeez. I got stuck trying to get my locker to open then some girl named Adora went to the office with me to help. Shouldn't happen again."

"Oh girl you're friends with Adora now huh?" Lonnie almost snorted as she was teasing me.

"We are NOT friends. She's too goody-goody-two-shoes."

"Uh huh. Okay. Well regardless she's like one of the most popular girls in school. She's a starter for the football team, one of the strongest lifters for the weight lifting team, band, and somehow still manages to find time for honors classes."

"So she's a nerd." I couldn't help but smile at that. I don't even know why.

The sounded and everyone started to head out for the next class.
