Catra's POV

It's been about 2 weeks since the accident. So much has happened in such a short amount of time. The doctors just gave me the good news earlier today that I should be able to get discharged tomorrow if everything goes great today with physical therapy—which thankfully it has been. Not gonna lie having Adora here and our friends visiting frequently leaving flowers in my room has really helped. Heck even my social worker stopping by telling me promising news about my emancipation helps to keep my head up high. Just the thought of going to another foster home sends shivers up my spine.

"Morning Catra. You ready to go for therapy today?" It was Amy, the physical therapist. She's been with me since I've been here.

"More like ready to get out of here." I can't wait to get out of here. As nice of a break from the real world it's been I'm ready to get back to normal.

She smiles and lets out a little chuckle. "Okay, let's see what you can do then."

We head out to the exercise room where I excel at most of the exercises that we planned for me. I really only struggled with the exercises that affected my bad arm.

"Catra you've made impeccable progress here. I wish all my patients where as dedicated as you."

"I gotta get back to normal, plus I wanna play sports again. And in order to do that I have to work for it." Not to mention if I ever get to see that Shadow Bitch I need to be at full strength.

"Keep this up and you'll be able to play sports no problem." We continue to finish out our session making small talk. "Does Adora have anything special planned for you when you leave here?"

I nod smiling. "Knowing her she does."

"You guys are super cute. She really cares about you. I don't think she's a missed a day visiting you has she?"

"Nope! She's been here every minute she can be. Not really sure why, I've put her through so much."

"It's because she loves you silly. It's clear as day. Anyone with eyes can see the feelings she has for you."

A blush creeps on my face. I'm honestly shocked by her words. "You really think so?"

She nods her head. "No doubt." There's a silent pause for a moment as we finish. "Anyways, today went better than we could've hoped for. Keep up with your exercises and physical therapy, Kay? I want to see you being the star of your volleyball team."

"No need to worry bout that."

We get back to my room and Adora's there rearranging some flowers in the room. Gosh she's perfect. There's no way she loves me. She doesn't hear us come in so I sneak up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist, "Hey Adora."

She turns around and gives me the biggest smile. "Hey you. How'd it go?"

"It went great! She should be able to go home tomorrow."

"Oh my gosh that's great!" Seeing her so excited makes me smile. "Thank you so much for putting up with her Amy. We'll miss you."

"Ditto you guys. Just make sure she keeps out of trouble."

"I'll do my best."

And with that Amy walked out just leaving Adora and I. I lay back in the hospital bed where she proceeds to dump out today's homework for me. "I bet you're so ready to get out of here. I'll text my Aunts and let them know so they can be here tomorrow. They've been working hard with your social worker and getting the spare room ready."

"You guys seriously don't have to house me you know."

"Shut up and just accept the gesture. Plus it's too late now."

"Of course Princess." I let out a little yawn. "Man being stuck here just makes me more tired I swear. I can't wait to be able to get back outside and being able to actually do stuff."

"Speaking of, what do you plan on doing once you get out? I mean besides school and seeing our friends."

That's a great question. I haven't really thought much about it. "Might go back to working on my car and get it in working condition."

"Ooohhhh I like how that sounds."

A blush comes back over my face. "Oh yeah?"

"Yeah. I mean you all greasy and sweaty. Actually sounds kinda hot."

"It's not I promise. The smell of grease alone will be enough to ruin any mood."

"Guess we'll find out." Her eyes get focused on me with a longing look. God that's so hot.

I decided to change the subject before things get more heated. I lean back ignoring the pile of books. "I don't feel like doing school work right now." Another yawn escapes.

She looks at me concerned. "Didnt sleep well again?"

I shake my head. "Not really but it's okay." I lay back and close my eyes to avoid talking any further about the dreams of Shadow Weaver that keep me up at night.

Adora's POV
I want to help Catra but I know if I push too much she'll just pull away. She likes to handle things on her own. She'll tell me when she's ready. I'm sure of it. I pull up her covers so it's wrapped around her shoulders and kiss her cheek. "Sleep well babe."

I pull out my phone and text my Aunts the update on Catra and that she's going to be discharged tomorrow. I can't wait! It's been killing me riding back and forth from school to here and back home. Between waking up early for school, football and band practices, and then coming here til visiting hours end it's been exhausting. But I don't complain, I'd do it for as long as it's warranted.

I text Glimmer and Lonnie in a group chat: "hey guys. Good news. Catra's gonna be discharged tomorrow!"

Glim: "ah that's so great!!! What time should we be at your place?"

Lonnie: "that's awesome. I miss seeing that trouble maker."

Me: "you guys think having people over is a good idea? I mean she may just want to be alone"

Lonnie: "nonsense! It's been too long since we've all seen her and plus, it won't be long. Maybe just do some pizza and head out after?"

Glimm: "PIZZZZAAAA. It's settled. We'll get the group together for your place and have pizza."

A ping of worry comes over me. Hopefully that'll be okay with Catra. I know she misses her friends. "Sounds great. I'll let my aunties know." I look over towards the sleeping Catra. She's so peaceful right now.

Almost on cue as if I've jinxed her in her sleep she starts rustling under the covers. I get up from my chair and walk closer and see some beads of sweat form. I put my hand on her arm to try and calm her, "it's okay babe. I'm right here." Her face starts to become more relax. I lift up the covers and slide in bed next to her wrapping an arm around her. "You're safe."

A/N heeeyyyoooo long time to talk! It was my wife's and my anniversary and then it was her birthday so was a smig busy. Already working on the next chapter as well! Love you all lots!!
