I stand, with the sword, and walk over to Ares. He is kneeling with the spear sticking out of his stomach. I twirl one last time, bringing my sword down against his face. Ares, once again, cries out in pain as the large gash on his face sprays the forest floor with blood.

"Go back to Olympus and tell all of your friends that the humans kicked your ass. And if you or any of them threaten my family again, I'll aim lower and deeper." I say with a low tone, "You're dismissed."

Ares laughs as he spits blood at my feet. He grabs his sword and disappears in a puff of black smoke, spear still impaling him. I notice Faust now. He is deteriorating quickly. A black substance seems to be crawling up his arms. I do not know how to help this. I drop the sword and kneel beside him.

"I never thought about one thing. Dying fucking hurts, dunnit?" Faust laughs as he leans back. I stare at him. He chuckles, "Are you sad? Are you actually sad for me?"

"You saved me."

"I never lied. I never meant no harm to you or the wolves. They had to be stopped." Faust says breaking into a coughing fit, "Showed 'em."

I chuckle and nod to him, "Yeah. You definitely did."

"So, your plan..."

"I'm going to use my power to do what we should have done a long time ago." I say softly.

"Are you scared?"

"Of?" I ask.

"Making the wolves more powerful. They'll be—"

"Whole."

"Well, I volunteer." He says, "My last act as a bloody hero."

"It'll speed up your death."

"Did I mention it fuckin hurts, mate?" He says as his eyes pass me, "Good luck getting away from that one."

I look over my shoulder to see my bloody, naked mate. I look back to Faust. I reach out and take his hands. His hands are cold. I notice the blackness has crept higher. His breathing is labored. I thank him and he tells me to hurry. I close my eyes and dig deep.

I am not sure if it is working until electricity surges between the two of us. It feels like true power. For the first time, I truly feel god-like. I feel the Earth. I can feel every single person in the world. I feel the chaos. The sadness. The grief. The confusion. The happiness. The kindness. I feel it all. I can feel the light against my skin, spread outward.

I exhale as I find the wolves, including the one standing behind me. They are all stopped momentarily and I can see their life threads. I can see dark, dead portions of their threads. I feel the threads begin to glow. The threads illuminate as power rises to the sky and shoots in all directions.

The wolves howl in unison.

I open my eyes to find myself lying on my back, staring up at the night's sky. I hear the footsteps come closer and stop near my head. Kohl leans over me, panting. I smile up at him before I remember Faust. I pull myself up and see that Faust is gone.

"You've been here all along."

"I'd never let you do this alone." Kohl says softly, "I'll never leave you."

I find that encouraging. I would normally feel annoyed but he was here for me. He put me above everything.

"What about the pack. You shouldn't have—"

"Shut up." Kohl says picking me up from the ground. He hoists my arm around his neck and steadies me, "Wolves are coming. Can you run."

I pull myself away from him before bending down and picking up the sword.

"Stand behind me. If they overwhelm me, I need you to run. It's not just you anymore." Kohl says, "It's a command."

"Yeah, cause that works."

I watch as seven wolves appear from the trees. I reach out and grab Kohl's arm. It is warm. My touch leaves a golden mark on his arm. He notices and smiles.

"Kohl." I say calling his attention, "Grey."

"What about him?"

"Let him out."

Kohl turns his attention back to the wolves. I watch as Kohl's bones begin to crack and he drops down to the ground. I watch as his calves elongate as well as his face. Hair erupts across his body promptly. His transformation is usually fast but it is slower now. He is shifting into his Fenris form.

I watch as the grey humanoid wolf rushes the interlopers. He begins to tear into the wolves with ease. His growls and roars ring through the forest as blood splatters his fur. When he has completed his mission, he turns to me with soft eyes.

"Nice to see you, Grey."

"Moon God." Grey growls, "Mate."

"Let's go. Go and help. I'm right behind you. I swear to Goddess." I say tiredly.

Grey hesitates but turns and runs through the woods. I stumble forward. I start to feel more powerful. My stamina is being regenerated. Grey made it at least five minutes before I did and he joins another couple of humanoid wolves. I feel a build-up of power. It feels like something is fighting to the surface. I feel the sword fall from my hand just as I am outside of the tree line. My body is trembling. I can see the humanoid wolves stop.

"Holy shit." I say into the ground. I bring my hands up to see that golden electricity is sparking around my fingers. I sigh as the magic runs through my body. I put my hands to the ground and the power shoots forward, "That's new."

I watch as the magic reaches the wolves and they transform into their human forms. The wolves stop fighting and turn to me. I watch as the wolves bend down, kneeling to me. Kohl and Mickey run to me, pulling me to my feet.

"Why are they kneeling?"

"They think you're their fucking Moon Goddess. Or God." Mickey says looking to me, "I'm thinking the same thing."

I look out onto the wolves. I think they are right.

I am a Moon God.
