Parker

We built tents for all the wolves who have been injured, Alliance or not. I walk through the many tents with Kohl. We notice that many wolves have coupled up. The spell worked. I am relieved to see a togetherness between the wolves that was not there before. I think it created ties between the wolves in general, not just mates. I am interested in this new dynamic. Kohl seems to be at ease about it as we walk forward.

Kohl wraps his arm around my waist and pulls me close as we walk.

Kohl explained to me that the wolves are wetting themselves. He says that most of the Alphas would like to meet me and join the Alliance. The Ashwoods have also learned that they can shift into their Fenris forms at will now. I am not shocked when Kohl states that he must go and meet with the leaders. He asks if I would like to go and I tell him that I am a little too tired for werewolf politics, to which he replies that I should get some rest.

I stop when I come across Akari, Jasar and Eliza. The three of them are battered, Akari the most. He appears to have been chewed up and spit out. The claw marks against his face as well as the bites on his shoulder indicate that he was on the losing end of an attack. The three are standing over the body of Nadira.

"She was a warrior." I say as the others turn their attention to me, "Everyone okay?"

"We're alive, if that's what you mean." Eliza says with a raspy voice.

"Duh." I say looking around at them, "They think I'm a God."

"Looks like you do, too." Jasar smiles, "Got your powers back?"

"Until another well-intentioned yet totally wrong warlock comes along."

"Are there more?" Akari asks, "Count me out."

I laugh, "Don't worry. It's a non-issue. I think."

"You should be resting Luna. You look a bit green." Eliza says, "Is there something we can get."

"Trashcan? Vase? Drawer? A Tupperware that I may have thrown away when—you know what. No. I don't think so." I ask.

"Funny...are you serious?" Jasar asks.

"I'm fine, Jasar." I say as my eyes scan the area.

I find Mickey and Cassie standing with Tai Sing. I say goodbye to the group and head towards the siblings. When I reach them, they seem genuinely happy to see me. I take a seat beside them on a cot in a tent near the pack house. Tai Sing is bruised heavily while Mickey and Cassie seem unharmed. I guess it is because of their Fenris forms.

"From one Luna to the other, you look terrible." Cassie says, "Maybe you should rest."

"From one Luna to the other...bite me." I smile, "I'm fine. Tired is all. It's been a long night."

"Yeah, we heard how you faced off against a God in the forest. I should have known you'd literally fight to the death, pregnant and all." Mickey says catching my attention.

"We also heard how Faust saved you. Saved all of us." Cassie says, "Doesn't absolve him but it makes what he did slightly less awful."

"He died a hero. I think that's what would have mattered to him."

"Tch. Still a massive dick." Mickey says.

"Tai, you okay buddy?" I ask.

"Few broken bones but I should be fine." Tai says, "Why didn't you tell me you were a deity."

"First impressions and all. Tends to overshadow my personality. Besides, I'm Southern. We brag politely."

"Ah!" Tai nods.

"You guys mind if I talk to Mickey alone?" I ask.

"Sure. I'm going to take Tai upstairs. There's a lot of chatter out here and I think we need some peace." Cassie nods.

I watch as Cassie helps her mate to his feet and up to the pack house. Mickey walks over and takes a seat beside me. The two of us stare forward. I feel like this conversation could have been more comfortable if we did not have to have it at all. Pesky adulthood.

"So, were you going to tell me about the baby?" Mickey asks.

"Babies."

Mickey looks over to me with bewilderment, "Babies? Are they—is there a chance one of them is mine?" He asks.

"Negatory."

"How can you be sure?" Mickey asks, "We had sex more than once unprotected."

"I just know."

"That's not good enough for me."

I chuckle to myself, "I did this on purpose. To myself. Flashes of that time are coming back to me, you know. Hecate led me to it and I decided. If there was a chance that the babies were yours, even partially, I would be honest with you about it."

Mickey nods.

"I would have been honored to have your kids. But life just didn't happen that way." I take a deep breath, "You know, I saw her. When I did the spell, it connected me to every single person, let alone werewolf."

"Whaddya think?" Mickey asks.

"Let's be honest, anything after me is a downgrade. I'm a literal God." I say with a shrug, "But she makes you happy."

"How do you know?" He asks.

"I felt it. I can still feel it. Just like I can feel your conflict. We're good, Mickey. It's okay for us to be happy. It's not like you're dead."

"Sounds like you were a little conflicted yourself."

"Not really anymore." I say with a smile, "I'm happy. I want the same for you."

Mickey nods, "On the bright side, I doubt any wolf will fuck with you or this pack again."

"Good news all around." I say with a smile. I scoot closer and put my head on his shoulder, "I seriously need a nap."

"Is Kohl okay with this?" Mickey chuckles.

"Probably not. But I'm a Moon God, so he'll deal."
