"For the love of all things holy! Hurry up or we are going to be late, pokey!"
"I'll go at my own pace because NEWSFLASH: I DON'T EVEN WANT TO GO!" I grumbled angrily to my best friend.
You are probably wondering what I am poking about over. Well, my best friend, Karli, wants to go to a concert where she is addicted to the lead singer or something like that.
I don't even know what his or their name is. Look, all I know is that I'm being forced to go because she got a job promotion and wanted to 'celebrate'. This is hardly my idea of a celebration.
Let me properly introduce myself since I've yet to do that.
My name is Claire Petterson and I am 22 years old. I work as an architect for a big name company in Florida where I was born and raised.
Then, we have my best friend Karli Nicholson who is also 22 and works as a fashion designer. Well, now she does, but she was just an intern previously. She has been my friend for as long as I can remember.
"I will drag you downstairs if you don't hurry up, so help me-"
"I'm here, dammit! Let's go get this over and done with."
"Yes! Okay, come on!"
She dragged me out of our place and into her car where she all but gunned the engine, tearing away from our apartment.
The entire car ride I played on my phone and sat silently. Mostly.
"The things I do for you," I muttered bitterly.
"Hush now! It's too late anyway since: we. Are. HERE!" She screamed excitedly.
Help me!
We walked up to the entrance of the stadium, arena place where we handed over our tickets to the ticket collector was, or well, one of the many ticket collectors were.
"Enjoy the show, ladies!" The man said as he smiled at us.
"Blah, blah, blah!" I grumbled as I followed Karli inside.
"Could you at least fake your excitement?" Karli asked me in exasperation so I decided to lay it on thick.
"Like, OMG, I can't believe it! AHHH!"
"Okay, okay! Go back to brooding, because that was freaking me out!" Karli said with a dramatic shudder.
"Gladly," I said.
We went to our seats which were practically right in front of the stage, must to my dismay and Karli's excitement.
"I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be back," I said as I stood up from the seat I had just sat in.
"Okay, but be quick!"
"Alright," I said as I turned and headed to find a bathroom, but that proved to be much more difficult than I originally thought. "Where the heck is the bathroom?!" I asked no one in particular, only voicing my thoughts.
"Look to your left."
I looked at a guy who stood not that far from me who had spoken.
"What?" I asked.
"The bathroom you're looking for. Look to your left."
Now understanding him, I looked to my left and saw the bathroom.
"Oh, thanks."
With that, I walked into the bathroom.
- Braylon's POV -
I knew immediately that this is the girl he was after; the girl he needed.
The moment she walked into the bathroom, I pulled out my phone and called him
"Hey, Lake."
"What's up? You know I have to get ready, B."
"I found her. The one you're after."
"So she is here after all? She showed up?"
"Yes, that's the whole reason I called. She's in the bathroom right now."
"Ditch the attitude and make sure you keep an eye on her."
"Got it. So when's it going down?"
"Tonight, of course. Don't worry, I have a plan. Tonight she will be mine at long last."
With that, he ended the call and I pocketed my phone before moving along and blending in with the crowd but made sure to keep my eye on the bathroom door.
I watched her walk out of the bathroom and followed her as she headed back to her seat where she and her friend, that I saw her arrive with, began to talk together.
After tonight she would be the boss'.
Soon enough, everything would finally fall into place and be perfect.
