- Claire's POV -

Did he just say OUR room?

As in, him and I sharing this room. That bathroom. THIS BED?!

"Nope. Nuh-uh. Not happening," I said, shaking my head.

"Too late, Sweetness."

With that he disappeared into the bathroom, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Is he going to take advantage of me? No, I don't think he would do that. But then again, I don't know anything about him.

As my mind spiralled with way too many thoughts, Lake stepped out of the bathroom.

Why, dammit, why?! Why does he have to be so good looking?

So not fair!

"You're staring, Sweetness. Want to take a picture?"

My cheeks went rosy at being caught oggling my captor.

"No! Either go away or let me go!"

"Neither of those things are going to happen. I've been after you far too long for me to just let you go."

He's been after me far too long? What does that even mean? Was my kidnapping premeditated?

"What are you talking about?" I asked him.

"I will tell you soon, Sweetness. But for now, why don't you come downstairs with me so that we can have dinner with everyone."

"I'm not hungry."

Anyone who knows me knows that that's a load of bull because I can eat enough to feed a small army, but I'm not letting him know that I'm starving.

Yeah, I didn't have to though because my stomach decided to throw a wrench in my plans and growl loudly.

"Oh, you're not hungry? I think that lioness in your stomach says otherwise," he smirked knowing he had me there.

"Regardless, I don't trust you. You could poison my food."

"I wouldn't do that, plus I'm cooking for everyone else, too, so there's that, Sweetness."

My stomach growled loudly again making me just give in.

"FINE!"

He grinned before doing a mock bow.

"After you, m'lady."

I walked in front of him and out of the door.

"Hey, Dreame?"

"Mhm," he hummed in response.

"Stop staring at my butt and show me where to go because I don't know where I'm going."

"Right this way, even though I hate to have to lose my view," he said, making me lose my eyes, but I was secretly flattered. "Here we are."
