The Unforgettable Concert

Honeymoon

Once we had changed, we sat back down in the seats and the plane took off to our mystery honeymoon destination.

"So you aren't going to give me any hint at all?" I asked him as I leaned into him.

"So impatient, Sweetness. Good things come to those who wait."

"Okay, I'll stop now," I giggled.

"It's going to be a long flight so why don't you take a nap?" He suggested, which I nodded to. "Especially since I don't intend on us spending much time being asleep."

My face went red as I buried my face in his warm chest, making him laugh.

I'm not sure when, but I did end up falling asleep with my face buried comfortably in Lake's chest and his arms wrapped around me.

"Sweetness, are you awake?" He asked softly.

"Mhm," I hummed at him as I blinked slowly a couple of times.

"We're here. Look out the window."

I instantly sat up and leaned over him to look out the window, awe immediately passing over me at the stunning view.

"Wow, it's gorgeous, but where exactly is here?"

"We are in St. Maarten," he said with a wide grin as he watched my face morph into shock.

"What? How did you know that I've always wanted to come here? I never told a soul, except for..."

"Karli," we said at the same time and he chuckled while I bounced around happily, still encased in his arms.

"I can't believe it! Thank you, Lake! I love you so much!" I cried as I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly.

He slid his arms down from my midsection to my waist so that he could hold me in a proper hug and even closer to him as he pressed a kiss to my temple.

"I'm glad you're happy, Sweetness. I love you, too."

I was so wrapped up in being with him and being so happy that we were actually in St. Maarten that I hadn't noticed that we had landed until the pilot came out from the cockpit and let us know.

Lake and I thanked the pilot before exiting the plane and climbing into the awaiting car that was here for us.
