"Fox. Coming this way," whispered Cole, staring into his drink.

"Where?" I looked out of the corner of my eye.

"About 10 o'clock."

I slowly turned as if I was looking around the room. I made sure to turn my nose up slightly an raise one eyebrow. We couldn't have anyone suspect us. A small petite girl walked in Cole and I's direction. Her hair was tied back in a bun and she wore an elegant burnt orange dress with a mask the pointed out at the nose. A black belt that thread around her waist looked to tight for comfort and the girl made that obvious.

She looked as if she couldn't breathe, like she was taking small breaths only. "The Host's daughter. What's her name? Andrea or something?"

"Andy," Cole said taking a sip of the alcohol in the glass.

The girl looked around as she walked to see if anyone looked at her and I made sure to tuck my purple locks behind my ear. "Hi. Are two a friend of the Host?"

She knew the answer already. I could see it in her eyes. "No. Our father is an advisor," I answered giving a smile.

"Really? Interesting. Whose?" Andy was toying with us and I would not be a mouse.

"You know the answer. Why don't you tell us?" I resisted stepping forward.

Andy smiled plainly. "You aren't children of the advisors. Simple. But why are you here?" she said leaning against the bar counter.

Cole spoke smoothly,"To have a good time. Why the hell else would we be here?"

"To rob my father." I muttered a curse under my breath at the girl. "I'm not stupid. You don't actually think you look like and advisor, do you?"

I bit my lip and didn't answer. Cole had told me before we came that we wouldn't fit in well but I disregarded it. Andy spoke again,"That's what I thought. Do you live in Dubai?"

"Obviously. If we lived in London, we wouldn't be here. The whole reason we are even at this stupid ball, is to get money," I said shaking my head.

"And food. I'm here for the food," said Cole whilst popping a piece of bread in his mouth.

Andy stood up straight, like she had an idea. "Do you need the money for travel?"

"How did you know?" Cole and I had been wanting to get out of Dubai, the poorest of the last cities left.

"Take me with you."

"What? Hell, no." Was this girl stupid? Cole and I would never take in another person. Especially the Host's daughter.

"Please. I'll pay fully for everything. I just need to get out of this barren waistland."

"Wait." Cole stood and downed his drink. "All expenses?"

"Yes."

"Stay where you are!" An unfamiliar voice echoed around the large tall ceiling and everyone stopped dancing and chatting. "You there! In the bird costume! I see you!"

A large burly man in a nice tux with a black cover over his eyes ran at me and Cole from across the room. I noticed my hair had fallen out and I yanked my handgun from a strap on my leg and shot upwards.

The sound shocked the partygoers and the all ran around in panic. "Nice." Cole bumped her shoulder.

"Thanks. Lets go." I put the gun back and started to run. A cold hand heels me back

"Wait! Do we have a deal?" Andy's voice was weighted with desperation.

"Meet me tomorrow behind the old apartment complex called GreenWoode. We'll discuss this. Let me go!" I yanked my arm from her grasp and ran. I pushed through two tall doors and turned down hallways. Right, left, left, right, left, right, right. I lost track of where I was, but I turned a corner and 3 guards waited for me with guns held straight at my chest.

"Damn," I whispered out of breath.

"Get on your knees and put your hands behind your head." The same burly guard stood in front ordering me around.

I lowered and placed my hands on the back of my neck. Surprise! I had two knifes stashed in my corset. I could only take down two. I breathed heavily wondering which to choose. I only had a limited time to pick.

Until I saw a movement in the shadows on the roof. I grinned and gripped the handles tightly.

This would be fun.
