Chapter 10

I woke up that morning in the tree cuddled next to Esther her arms around my hips and wings covering us. She is so beautiful. I wish I look as pretty as her but I'm no where close. I feel her stomach move as she breathes. I lay on her chest.

Esther finally wakes up and giggles. I sit up and she tighens her grib around my waist. She stares at my lips. "Um, what you want to do today?"  She asks "I don't know maybe we can do some sky diving." I suggest "Great idea! Hold on." She says I do grab her side and she wraps her arms around me and shot into the sky. She goes so high all you can see  is white from clouds. "Do you trust me?"Esther asks "Yes" I answer. "Okay." She say letting me go and I fall through the sky "AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" Screams escape my mouth. I see the pavement rushing towards my body but that's when Esther grabbed me. "My god, Esther! I was so scared!" I yelled and she laughs.

Ryker flys towards us and lands. "I'm done with everything and I have something we can do." He says. "Which is?" I ask. "We could show you Cupid." He says "Cupid is real?" I ask. "Yes but it's not a boy nor a baby" Explains Esther. I grab a hold of Ryker's side. Since he's stronger that Esther he only had to put one arm around me.

They took me to a field full of flowers and we went to a little cottage.  "Before we take you inside. I have to tell you a story about Cupid." Began Ryker "She fell in love with a boy but she keep it a secret but on day he told her he loved her so she finally told him she loved him the whole time but the boy was lying and used her. She then realized he doesn't love her and never did so she lived on feeling pain when ever she saw him. One day she couldn't take the pain of love so she prayed to end all her pain and that's when a magic bow and arrows appeared. She grabbed one of the arrows and pulled it to her throut and shoved in and pasted out. When she woke up the bow and arrows were back where she found them and her back started to hurt every badly and ich she then pulled out a feather by the end she had wings. And she stared to shoot people to fall in love and she jumped off the cliff and that how she died officially. She will never believe that she is beautiful." He explained.

Wow Cupid been through a lot. We knock on the door and a girl with sad look answered and opened the door to let us in. "How are you?" Ryker asks "I'm fine." Cupid answer. Her voice soft and gentle. She is pretty. Her hair bleached blonde and has dark eyebrows. Her wings are unlike Ryker and Esther's they are very small and white. "How is Jerry?" Cupid asks me. "He is still sad." I say "Who is Jerry?" Asked Esther "my boyfriend or was my boyfriend." I say feeling sad. Esther also looks sad. "Oh" she says looking down. "You guys were so cute." Cupid said looking depressed. Ryker wraps his hands around her and pulls her close. Cupid buried her face in to Ryker's chest. He hugs her tightly and Cupid starts to cry.

I follow Esther out the door. "Do you want to know a secret about Ryker?" Esther asks "sure?" I say "Ryker was in love before. It was with his neighbor. They we dating and her name is Lucy." Esther began.

"One day her house caught on fire and she got stuck in her room. Ryker ran into the house and broke into the room and she was knocked out so he picked her up and got her to the hallway by then there was a firefighter. The firefighter took Lucy but at that moment part of the ceiling broke apart, trapping Ryker. The firefighter tried helping but Ryker told him to get Lucy out. Ryker died from the smoke that night." Esther finished. "Ryker died for Lucy" I said shocked "Yup now Lucy is married with 2 kids" She tells me. I can't believe he died for her. "I have another secret of Ryker's. He likes Cupid." Esther smiles.
