Baekhyun froze when he heard the words coming out from Chanyeol's mouth. He suddenly felt suffocated and weak. His chest hurts so much that he feels he's about to faint. It's not true, it can't be true. He's lying. Chanyeol is lying. 

"No, y-you're lying!" Baekhyun burst into tears. "Look at me, Chanyeol. I know you love me too. I know you feel the same way. Please, tell me the truth!" He was about to hug Chanyeol when Kyungsoo grabbed him. Baekhyun tried to struggle but to no avail.

Chanyeol swallowed. It hurts. It hurts to see Baekhyun like this. It's unbearable but he has to do this. For Baekhyun's safety. After thinking about what Kyungsoo said, Baekhyun staying here might cost his own life and he doesn't want that. If breaking Baekhyun's heart is the only way, then so be it. It's better for Baekhyun to leave and stay alive.

He clenched his fist harder, his nails were digging into his skin. "Are you deaf?!" He growled, making Baekhyun stop. "I told you, I don't fucking love you! Who would ever love a spoiled ass bitch like you, huh?! You piss me off and irritate me so much that I just want to fucking die." He looked straight into Baekhyun's eyes and he instantly regretted what he said.

No, I didn't mean that. Believe me, Baek. I don't want to hurt you. This is all a lie. I will never insult you like that, you know that.

Normally, Kyungsoo wouldn't let anyone scream or even insult Baekhyun but right now, he knows what Chanyeol is trying to do. He can't help but to feel pity for them. Chanyeol must've love Baekhyun so much that he's going this far just for Baekhyun to be safe.

Baekhyun harshly wipes his tears and continued to struggle with Kyungsoo's hold. No matter what Chanyeol says, he won't believe it. Chanyeol is lying, he knows him. Even though Chanyeol really likes to tease him and bicker with him, he would never say those words to him. "Shut up! I told you already, stop lying!" He points his finger at Chanyeol. "If you really meant those words, then why? Why do you look so hurt?! Why can I see the worry in your eyes? Why are you shaking? Do you think it will work on me? I promised to stay with you. I promised that I would never leave you. So why? Why are you making me go away? You, yourself asked me to promise you!"

And there, Chanyeol's eyes started to water. He remembers how he asked for Baekhyun to stay. He remembers those time they spent together. Can he still be happy after all of this?

The taller forced a chuckle, then it turned into laugh. He's laughing because it's too painful. He doesn't want Baekhyun to leave but he doesn't have a choice, doesn't he? "You believe that? You are so fucking gullible Byun Baekhyun. News flash, that was all a lie. Spur of the moment, y'know?" He wipes his tears from 'laughing' too much.

Baekhyun gasped. His knees gave up and he starts to tremble so much. He knows this is all a lie but why does it still hurt? Is it because it's Chanyeol? "Y-you're lying."

"Well, yes. I did lie. The way I treat you is all an act. I mean, I just wanted to see if you'll fall for me and you did! Man, I must be really handsome." 

"Ch-chanyeol... please. I love you."

"It's a pity that the feeling is not mutual." Chanyeol cursed himself internally. He hates himself for being a jerk to Baekhyun, to the person he loves.

"I want to know more about you. I need you in my life. I'll let them take anything from me, even my life. Just not you.. Please stop hurting me like this. I would rather die than you pushing me away. I want to stay with you, please? I love you, Chanyeol. Do you hear me?" He says desperately. Kyungsoo's hold softens and he takes the opportunity to rush to Chanyeol and hug him.
