Heyoooo! Well as you all readers can see, this chapter is gonna be all about one of my favorite characters in Heroes of Olympus, Hazel Levesque!
Ever since I was introduces to Hazel's character, I felt very connected to her in some way even though we have like nothing in common. I feel like a lot of people underestimate how strong and brave Hazel actually is and that....is kinda sad y'know?
I think that Hazel is one of the best characters in all the book series I have ever read. Why, you ask? Well it's probably because she FREAKING SACRIFICED HERSELF TO PREVENT A GIANT AND EVENTUALLY GAIA, FROM RISING! Another thing is that SHE SACRIFICED HER CHANCE TO GO TO ELYSIUM SO THAT HER MOTHER WHO DID HORRIBLE THINGS TO HER - EVEN IF GAIA WAS IN CONTROL OF HER - WOULDN'T BE IN ETERNAL PUNISHMENT!
Like seriously, I don't think anyone else is that kind hearted. Hazel also started learning magic with one of the most dangerous goddesses ever just to be able to protect her friends during the war! Another thing that makes me respect her so much is that she risked her life hundreds of times to defeat Pasiphae and Clytius in the House of Hades.
She also became the Centurion in of the Fifth Cohort and she was the only person who had ever been able to tame and ride Arion. And another thing is, she is sooooo innocent! It is so (Hoover) dam cute!
Another thing is, people and fans keep saying how pretty Piper and Annabeth are, but have you ever seen one comment, one little compliment, or even a little acknowledgement of how beautiful Hazel actually is? Like seriously, no one encourages that. I mean, in my opinion, I think that Chocolate colored skin, Cinnamon colored hair and bright gold eyes would make a person very pretty.
Another thing is that in a lot of fan fictions, Hazel is only shown to be good at drawing. I mean do people not understand that she is an Equestrian too? I feel like Hazel's love for horses is a huge part of her personality and people really need to let that shine through.
Anyways, my brain cannot come up with more points 'cause it's all jumbled up from school. Whoopee! Anyways, hope you guys liked my first chappie of this opinions book!
