From afar Minho smiled as he watched the two boys hug each other tightly. He had come to pay his respects to his two friends but had stayed back, letting Renjun and Sunwoo have their time together.
"Long time no see Minho."
Minho swiveled around to see Jungwoo standing behind him and his smile broadened. The two men pulled each other into a tight hug, and when they pulled apart they began to catch up. It had been years since they had seen each other, the accident had separated the babysitters. After the funerals for reasons unknown to Minho huge fights had broken out between them, each babysitter hating on each other and blaming each other for what happened, even though truly it was no one's fault. In the end Chanhee had to split it up as Sunwoo was waiting for someone to take him back to the orphanage and after that, they didn't speak.
Without realising, six more bodies soon joined Jungwoo and Minho's hug, and together they all cried, mourning the loss of their friends and relishing in the final reunion of the babysitter's club.
Once they had all stopped crying and apologizing to each other, the group of eight began walking to Minho's house which was the closest to the grave yard. He explained that his children and wife were out, and was instantly teased by his friends for being married. Minho expressed his regret for not inviting them to his wedding but he was reassured that it was understandable. They were not exactly on speaking terms at the time, although Hansol joked that if they weren't the godfathers of at least one of Minho's children, he would throw hands.
Chanhee also revealed that he was married, although most of them had expected him to marry Hyunjae, the two had been together since the younger was twenty-four. They had got married in England where gay marriage was legal and Chanhee had his dream countryside wedding. He mentioned that both Changmin and Juyeon had attended the wedding, making the mood somber once again, but soon brought it back when Chanhee mentioned how drunk both of their friends got, so much so that Changmin woke up in a drag club with no recollection of how he got there and Juyeon had a tattoo.
The six babysitters spent the entire day together, arranging to meet the next day and the day after that as well. They had almost ten years of catching up to do and that definitely was not going to happen in the remaining hours of the day.
As they said their goodbyes and left Minho's house, Kevin made his way back to the cemetery where they had met. He reached Changmin and Juyeon, and sat on the ground before them began to talk.
"Hey Min, Ju, it's strange to be back here. I came back from Canada two years ago, but I never came here to see you guys. I'm sorry, I was scared to come to terms with the fact that you really were gone, even though I knew it a long time ago." Kevin sighed, no tears came to his eyes, he wasn't sad, more regretful.
"Minho told me Sunwoo and Renjun had come by today, I bet you're happy about that. Your children are finally reuniting. I wonder if the others found each other? I saw Donghyuck last week, he's grown up so much and changed. He's had it really rough, but hopefully I'll change that. I became a social worker, Juyeon, just like you said I should, just like you wanted to be. And Changmin I opened a dance studio in Canada for you, just like you always dreamed of doing. It's called 'Kyu's studio', so if you want feel free to visit."
Kevin paused and sighed again. He got up and bowed to his two friends.
"I promise I'll be back again soon, with everyone hopefully or by myself, I don't know but I'll be back, I can't run away from you anymore."
