"You'll look cute in a 'Edward Scissorhands' costume; can't wait to see ya" Rayee said picking up a fry and popping it in her mouth.

"I will? Sure?!" Parth asked. He was debating his Halloween outfit.

"You'll look cute in anything" Niti said sitting across from him, eyes shining, "but you dressing up as Johnny Depp, hot damn" she said, fanning herself with her hands and then hi-fived Rayee.

"Hey Parth can I speak to you for a second?" Someone said clapping a hand on his back. He turned to see it was Jay. He was in the organising team or something, best he could remember but they weren't really friends, so he hesitated for a second.

"Yeah, sure" he said excusing himself. Niti gave him a bored look; she was sometimes very annoyed with him for not being able to say no.

Jay walked ahead of him and Parth was just coping behind. He was certainly emitting this weird energy and they were walking in this empty corridor. He felt off but he followed nevertheless.

After walking some more they entered into the isolated music room. Then seconds passed into minutes but there still no word from; he kept pacing the room silently and mindlessly.

"Dude, what is this about?" He finally asked.

"Well you and Niti, you guys are close?" He asked biting his lip.

"Yeah! She's my best friend...? I'm sorry how is Niti coming into this?" Parth asked, forrowing his brows.

"Niti is well... She is the epicentre of this" he said throwing his hand over Parth's shoulder.

"What?" He asked shrughing his hand off. "Since when?"

"Well I've been trying to talk to you if you've noticed, once or twice before. I tried at Rayee's party too, but you were always stuck with her so... by the way are you guys a thing?"

"Who, Rayee and I?" He asked, eyes popping out of his sockets. "What are you crazy? Rayee's into girls, man. She came out like a year ago with Yana, they came out together; they even dated for like six-seven months. And for the record I was 'stuck' with Rayee, very happily actually, because you creeped her out" he almost yelled.

"And you were what, protecting her?" He laughed lamely.

"I was holding her back from punching you" he said rolling his eyes.

"My bad, I thought she was smart enough to not drive the rockier path" he said as if he was Aristotle or something, all knowing almighty. 'No one cares what you think' he wanted to say but bit his tongue; sometimes people were bad beyond expectation. "Anyway that's not why I'm here, Rayee's hot though, but I called you here for Niti actually" he had that same cockiness in his voice he always did. Parth did not reply so he chose to go on.

"I like Niti-"

"Honestly dude, you are just springing surprises on me?! Since when is liking somebody your thing?" He cut him off, annoyance I thought you fucked whoever was nearest to you" he spat. He had had enough of this guy. He was a bad apple, he knew that and kept his distance, he didn't wanna fight him unnecessarily but now this was going far.
