The Party

Yesterday was amazing I made a new friend because of my principal. Today I walked in and school few by. I met all of my teachers and they're so nice. Finally I was in last period with Jack. We were taking notes over Photography shots. I looked up to memorize some of the words to write down but as soon as I looked down there was a note in front of me. I smiled because Jack wrote his name on it. I blushed and looked over at him, staring at the board with a grin on his face knowing I looked over. He whispered "Open it!" and I did what I was told. It read,
"I'm so excited for tonight. Here's my number text me all the details!" 😀 -Jack
After last period I left school, I went to my house to get ready! I was so excited because Jack was coming. I took a quick shower then when I got out I called for my mother! "MOM, CAN YOU COME HERE PLEASE!" "Yeah honey I'll be right there!" I heard her coming up the stairs and she opened the door and smiled. "Yes?" "I uhh gotta ask you something!" she looked at me with a concerned looked on her face like something was wrong so I smiled. "What is it love bug?" I blushed and said "Well I have this friend and he kinda watches Dad. His brother and him have loved dad since they were 10!" "Really? And what does that have to do with anything." I smiled because I was nervous to tell her about Jack. "Well I invited him to come tonight so he can meet dad, is that okay?" "Yeah that's fine. Is that all you wanted to talk to me about?" "Well there is another thing...." I cut myself off, thinking about my feelings about Jack and remembering things that has happened in my past with guys. We had so much in common but I really don't think he thinks of me that way. "Never mind...thats it!" "Are you sure?" I smiled. "Yup, & thanks for talking to me!" "No problem Honey that's what I'm here for."
She smiles then walks out of my room.
Why couldn't I talk to her about Jack? She's my mother, not another teenage girl! Anyway I continue getting ready. I'm bout to start on my makeup when I got a text!
It was from Jack. We've been talking since earlier today.
Jack: Hey, What time should I be at your house?
Me: Wow your already ready? and probably in like an hour!
Jack: Yeah I've been ready.... well not exactly I don't know what to wear and okay!
Me: Your a guy and you don't know what to wear?
Jack: Well I'm going to be meeting the best dirt bike racer ever and yeah I wanna look good!
Me: Haha okay just a simple dressy type of outfit will do it nothing fancy but nothing like what you wear to school!
Jack: Okay..I got the perfect thing, C U in a few☺️
Me: Okay I'll be here😊
I started to get so nervous. What would my parents say or even worse my brother! He's very protective of me since what happen, but I mean my dad is too but my brother just knows more than my dad! After I finished my make up I put on a short black dress that flows when I move. This was sort-of out of my comfort zone. I'm not usually the girly girl type, but I like it anyway. I walked out of my room, looked down over the up stairs balcony to see my mom sitting on the couch. I said "Mom, where's Dad?"
She turned and looked at me, almost about to cry. "Honey you look beautiful! He's in the kitchen!" "Thanks mom!" I walked towards the kitchen to see my dad sitting at the bar with his face in his hands.
"Dad are you okay?" He looks up & says "Yeah just little nerves!" I walk over and hug him. He smiles and says, "You look beautiful honey. I also bet that boy you invited will think so too." I started to blush, "Mom told you didn't she?" he laughed and nodded. "I hope so, he's pretty much been the only friend I've had since we moved here!" "Do you like him?" I immediately started to blush and I slightly nodded! "Well he better treat you right or your brother and I will be his worse nightmare!" I laughed then let it go and said, "Well I don't know I mean I just met him and he's really sweet... I don't know!" I gotta text from Jack. "Is that him?" my dad asked "Yeah, he makes me so nervous!" "Honey it will be fine, trust me just breathe and stay strong. You always make good choices and if he's as nice as you say then you'll know that your making the right choice!" I hugged him again and looked down at my phone.
Jack: I'm here can you uhh come outside for a sec?
I felt my stomach turn with butterflies, I wonder why he wanted me to come outside! I walked outside. He was leaning up against his jeep with the sexiest grin on his face.
"So miss Moore you are looking rather beautiful tonight!" He said with those eyes staring right at me!
"Well thank you so much Mr. Gilinsky, you looking rather dashing yourself!" He smiled and put out his hand for mine. I walked closer and asked, "What are you doing!" He smiled and said "Well I wanna talk to you about something before we go in there!" I was so scared. Then I noticed his brother didn't come. "Okay, but where's your brother?" "He got sick so it's just you and me. I really wanted to tell you something!" "Okay.... is something wrong?" "No nothing's wrong! It's just these past few days have been great and I've gotten to know you a lot. Well I like you Kaydlen. Your different, you don't care what people think, you're your own person!"
My heart started to pick up the pace! I had no clue that he's started to like me. I didn't know what to say so I just looked down at my hands. I could tell he was nervous but he picks up my hand and intertwined them together. I looked up and smiled at him. "I like you to Jack but I don't know!" "What do you mean? Did I do something wrong?" "No no no you didn't do anything, it's just that my past has been really bad with guys and I don't want those things to happen with you!" I hated my past I hated it. I started tearing up and he looks at me and picks my chin up. I looked at him and he wiped the tears away!
"Kaydlen, I wouldn't let that happen, I would never hurt you. Your to valuable to be treated like dirt!" I smiled. "I'm just afraid that someone better will come along and take you away from me!" "Nobody could be better than you, your perfect!" He stood in front of me and hugged me tight, still holding our hands together. I released and looked at our hands. "I like it this way don't you?" he said. I started laughing. "Yes." "So how bout we make it official beautiful? Will you be my girlfriend?" I nodded and he picked me up like they do in the movies. He put me down and kissed my forehead.
"So my beautiful girlfriend are you ready to go party?" I nodded and we went into the house! Of course my mom and dad was hugged up against the door trying to listen. I was so embarrassed but managed to open the door after I figured out what they were doing. Jack looked at me and laughed.
As I open the door my dad acted like he was coming down the stairs and my mom acted like she was coming out of the kitchen. "Well hello, Kaydlen who is this?" my mother says. "This is Jack. He's a huge fan of Dad!" "Well how are you Jack, I'm Mallory and this is..." "Mr. Moore, the best dirt bike racer in world history!" Jack said almost jumping out of his shoes. "You can call me James, I hear your a huge fan of mine?" my dad asks. Both of them look down at our hands intertwined together then look back up at us!
"Yes sir. My brother and I have been since we were 9!" "Well we have much to discuss before everyone else gets here!" They walk away and so does jacks hand. My mother gives me this look and says, "Some friend!" she laughs. I pull her closer to me and whisper in her ear! "He just asked me to be his girlfriend outside!" she jumped up and down with excitement! "Yay my baby has a boyfriend!" she said quietly. I laugh and walk to the coach! I was sitting there for awhile alone. But then other party guest arrive, and Jack shows up beside me.
