Adding a Bit of History

"I know I heard something from around here! I just know it!" A girl told her friend, that was clearly tired for not sleeping for the night.

He held up the lamp higher.

"It better be worth it because I just want to go to bed." The boy replied. "It's like, you're adding a bit of history to the books here by finding some new creature."

Mobs aren't around, since the people surrounding this area lit up the forest.

They were safe, they thought.

They got deeper and deeper into the forest.

"Here!" The girls shouted.

She spread her arms wide, gesturing that the thing she was talking about was found around here.

"Somewhere here!" She shouted again.

The boy looked around.

"Can I leave now?"

"Not yet!"

A bush rattled near them. The two turned around to see what it was. The bush kept on rattling.

The girl pulled out her iron sword. Ready to fight.

Before she could check what was in in, a small fox jumped out.

The fox stretched for a bit, and sat down, looking at the newcomers.

"It's a fox." The boy said. "Great, let's go-"

"Wait wait wait, just look at it." The girl stopped her friend from going away and pointed the fox.

It had purple spots on its fur. And purple eyes.

"Huh." The boy observed. "Foxes aren't suppose to be purple."

"Maybe it's a rare species?" The girl asked.

"Yeah maybe."

"Should we show it to the others?"

"Yeah we should."

The girl pulled her hand out for the fox.

But the fox bit her hand.

Before the girl could scream, purple aura were surrounding the animal and her. The color purple were taking over her eyes, and hand turning into a dark purple.

The boy noticed this and snatched her hand away from the fox.

He grabbed his friend's hand and ran off. Causing him to drop the lamp.

It was now dark and he could hardly see.

He just knew that the small footsteps behind them were now getting bigger and louder.

He tripped and fell into a hole, that was recently made by a creeper explosion.

He looked upwards from a whole, trying to figure out how to way out.

But the monster was already that.

Its large claws grabbed his friend and pinned her against the ground.

The boy tried to scream for help but was also pinned on the ground.

He looked towards the girl. Her body was slowly getting covered in the color purple. And when it was covered, smoke appeared everywhere. Items were dropped and she was gone.

She's going to respawn, right? And come back to save him, right?

His vision was being covered by the dark red color. He felt the life being slowly drained away from his body.

A life he could never have back.
