The guild members all watched the spot where the last of Lucy's warm light had faded. They were all silent, waiting for Natsu's reaction. Erza approached him slowly, gently placing a hand on his shoulder. "Well Natsu, are you gonna keep your princess waiting?" Natsu wiped the remaining tears from his face and stood up, fists clenched tightly by his sides. "No we need to make a plan, we have to save her."
Meanwhile with Lucy's body (whaaaa)
"Has everything been prepared?" Piero questioned approaching Lucy's body. He placed his hand on her cheek and caressed it gently. Then strapped a black leather device around her neck. "Yes sir, we followed your directions exactly. Her body just needs to be sealed in the lacrima for 3 days then the spell will be complete." Piero turned suddenly, a deep evil grin covering his face. "Good. This time we will succeed."
Back with the guild
"So what is the plan?" Erza asked approaching the bar the master sat on. "The dragon slayers and anyone else capable of tracking will leave now and try to find traces of Lucy, if you find anything report back here first and we'll make further preparations to get Lucy back. Do you understand Natsu? You can't act recklessly, Lucy is counting on you to be levelheaded" Natsu nodded in understanding and quietly left through the guild doors. The rest of the dragon slayers gave knowing nod and left with Bisca and Alzack. "We'll help as much as we can also." Jellal chimed in. "We'll help fortify defenses here and come up with contingeousy plans, though we hope they wont be needed we can't be caught unprepared for anything again. We must prepare for any and all scenarios." "Levy, Erza, Luke why don't you accompany Jellel and the rest of Crime Sorcier into the basement and help? Everyone else work on training and repairing the guild. Be ready to leave at any moment." The rest of the guild members dispersed and prepared for the rescue mission.
3 days later
Natsu burst into the guild. "Ive found her!" He yelled out excitedly. He looked like he hadn't slept in days, and probably hadn't. It was amazing enough he had the restraint to come back, rather than burst right in and try to save her. "I found a trace of her scent a few towns over, and followed it for about 5 miles into the mountains." He approached a map that had been left on the table to mark off places that had been searched. "I think they're holed up here." He pointed to a cave deep in a forest. "Way to go Natsu! Way to be a real man!" Elfaman shouted. "Okay, Jellel, Luke you two go scope out the cave and learn all you can about their numbers, and if possible magic types. Everyone will rest up tonight. At first light we'll make our way to the cave and begin the rescue mission."
With Lucy
"Oh good she's waking up, I was beginning to think that spell from Zerefs book was only nonsense." Piero gruffed. The lacrima surrounding Lucy began to glow softly. "Yes! Finally! Awaken my queen of darkness!" He shouted in triumphant excitement. "AWAKEN!" The light grew brighter and brighter until finally the lacrima shattered.
