"WHAT!?" Natsu questioned sharply. "We're just gonna head out. Bye." Master, Erza, and Jellel swiftly took their leave. "It's the only way now. You two are in love, I know this isn't how you thought this would all happen, not that I approve of you having such thoughts of my sweet innocent sister." Luke paused and placed a hand on Natsu's shoulder. "We no longer have a choice. If you want to save the Lucy we all love and protect her, you must bond her to you forever." Natsu held Lucy tighter. "I can't do that! She may have loved me before, but with everything that has happened her feelings have probably changed." "Natsu, love isn't shaken so easily, you saw her spirit also. She wants you, and only you, to save her. This is the best way to cement your feelings. Trust me Natsu I love my Sister, I would give anything for there to be any other solution and to beat the life out of you for hurting her, but this is it." 'I can't force her!" Natsu growled. Lucy stirred in Natsu's lap, and slowly awoke. She rubbed her eyes gently then looked around. "Natsu I knew you would find me." She smiled. She looked up at him happily with one chocolate eye and one golden eye. Her face began to flush and she turned towards Luke. "I overheard a little of your conversation, you want Natsu and me to mate? Is that really even a thing?" Lucy questioned. "Yes. It's a long forgotten magic bond between slayer magic wielders and their prospective partners. It was used as a way to strengthen their magic, but it can also be used as a way for Natsu to keep your magic in check. Not only does he possess strong magic but you two share a deep bond, deeper than any friendship. This will allow for the mating ritual to save you. "I'll do it." Lucy said quickly and affirmatively, causing Natsu to blush fiercely. "Good. I'm glad to hear it. Natsu are you going to break her heart again?" "NO, I don't want to, but..." "No buts. I'll leave you two alone to talk and get started. Natsu, look inside and let your dragon slayer magic guide you. The mating ritual will come naturally." Luke waved them off leaving them alone on Lucy's bed.
