Shattered [drew starkey]

Teagan and Drew got back to their apartment later than expected. They spent a few hours simply laying on a blanket at the beach, enjoying each other's company.

"Okay, there is something we need to talk about," Teagan spoke up once the two were settled in bed. Drew groaned in response, knowing what she was about to bring up.

"No, no. Not right now," He his his face in the girls chest as she sat up against the bed frame. She ran her fingers through his hair and let out a sigh before turning his head so he was looking at her.

"Drew, baby, it's serious. You go back to South Carolina in what, like, six days. What's going to happen with us?" Teagan said as the boy finally sat up to look at the girl.

He grabbed the girls hand as tears started to form in her eyes, "C'mon now, don't cry. We can work through everything. I mean look at what we've gone through, what we've fought through. We can make anything work."

The girl let out a weak smile as she knew that what he was saying was completely true. Without saying anything, she laid down alongside Drew. The two cuddled close to each other, so close Teagan could hear Drew's heartbeat as her head rested on his chest. Soon enough, the two were fast asleep.
