Chapter 9

Heeeey guys!! Sorry I haven't uploaded in the longest time! I've been busy with school and stuff :/ teachers are destroyers of happiness!!!! While at school, I did write A LOT for this story, so you can be sure that you'll be getting more chapters soon ^_^ This chappie goes out to kimkat, _conjure_ , and Michiko_chan for giving me such good ideas \(^_^)/ With that said, on to the story!! Recap Neji pov

// "We aren't together anymore..." Lee said quietly. I felt my heart skip a beat. "Oh, I see." I said as I went back to my training. I couldn't help but have a smile on my face.//

*A few days later* still Neji's pov

I can't stop thinking about her.~ I need to talk to her.~ "Uchiha." I called out. ~Uchiha, really?!~ Enigma looked up, "Oh, hi." "How've you been?" I asked. She raised an eyebrow. "I've been alright. What about you?" She asked. "Good, that's uh good. ~What the hell is wrong with me?!~ I've also been alright.." I replied. Enigma just nodded. "That's good." She said in a confused tone. ~Shit! I forgot I never talk to her...~ We remained silent for a few minutes. "Well it was nice talking to you Neji. I'll see you tomorrow, ok?" Enigma said, breaking the awkward silence. "Yeah, sure. Um, bye." I watched her leave. I facepalmed. "What the hell is wrong with me?.." I muttered out loud.

Lee pov

I watched Neji try to start a conversation with Enigma. I've never seen him so awkward around anyone before. ~Perhaps he likes her.. At this rate, she'll never notice him. I will help!!~ I ran over to Neji. "What the hell is wrong with me?" he muttered. "You like her, don't you Neji-san?" I asked. "W-what?" Neji said with a slight blush on his face. "I knew it! Don't worry Neji-san, I'll help you get her!!" I said, striking my nice-guy pose. "You're alright with this? She's your ex-girlfriend." Neji asks. I shook my head. "Enigma-chan is one of my best friends. Sure, I love her, but more like a sister. If you'll make her happy, I'm fine with you liking her. Now here are some things that you need to know about her..."

Neji pov

~I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm glad that Lee told me all of those things about Enigma. I had no idea she liked all of that. This could be useful..~

*The next day*

I was the first one to get to the training grounds. For some reason, I felt the need to impress Enigma. ~Lee told me she doesn't like that..~ I started off by fighting with a dummy. "Hey Neji." I turned around and saw Enigma. "Hello Enigma." I said in a my usual cold tone. I mentally slapped myself. "Oooookay then.." Enigma said with a raised eyebrow and went somewhere else.

Enigma pov

Neji is acting weird. First, he's all nice to me yesterday, and now he's being a butt. "Enigma-chan, shall we spar?" Lee called out. "Oh, hi Lee. Um, sure?" I said. "Lee!" Gai boomed. "Oh, sorry Enigma-chan. It looks like you'll have to work with Neji-san." Lee said with a grin as he ran off to Gai. Neji looked at me. "Sooo what do you wanna do?" I asked. "Do you want to run a few laps around the village?" Neji suggested. I pouted. "I guess.." "Damn, I forgot she doesn't like running. Ugh!" Neji thought to himself. I walked over to a log. "We'll start from here." I said. Neji came over to me. We took off running.

*A few laps later*

I was panting. Neji hardly looked tired. He looked over to me. "Tired already?" he asked. I shook my head. ~No, I can't show weakness around him~ "Lies." Neji said as he picked me up and put me on his back. ~Dafuq?~ "Um Neji, what are you doing?" I asked. I felt Neji tense. "I'm giving you a ride. Do you wish for me to set you down?" he asked. I shook my head. "Noooo! I like the piggyback ride. Onward my pony!" I said with a grin. "I'm not a pony." Neji said. "Fine then. Onward horsie!" Neji rolled his eyes.

Enigma pov

A while later, we arrived back at the training grounds. I was falling asleep on the Hyūga's back. Who knew he could be so comfy? "Enigma, we're here." Neji said quietly. "I know. I don't wanna get off." I mumbled. "Neji-kuuuun! I need your help with something! Please come and help me! <3" Ten Ten's annoying voice broke the peaceful silence. "Never mind." I muttered. Neji groaned. I snickered. "Go to your damsel. She sounds like she is in distress." I said as I climbed off of Neji's back. I started to walk away, but Neji grabbed my wrist. "Don't you dare abandon me with HER." he hissed. O_O I considered my options. 1) Watch Ten Ten annoy Neji. 2) Save Neji and then have to deal with a whiny Ten Ten. "Sorry, you are on your own muchacho!" I said as I ran off. ~Bwahahaha!~ "Enigma!" Neji whispered/shouted at me. I laughed my evil laugh. -sigh- "I'm so nice." I said patting myself on the back. I saw Lee facepalm. ?....

After training, Lee, Neji, and I went to get some ramen. I sat between Lee and Neji. "Oh no! I can't believe I forgot! I told Ga-sensei I would study some uh youthful um ducks with him! Sorry guys! I must go!! Seeyoulaterbyebye!!" Lee shouted as he got up and ran off. "Youthful ducks?" I asked out loud. Neji facepalmed and muttered something I couldn't quite understand. "What was that?" I asked Neji. "What? Oh, nothing." he said. We both preferred our ramen and ate in silence. When I finished, I noticed Neji had been done for a while. ~Was he waiting for me?~ I reached in my pocket for some money to pay for my ramen. "I'll pay for you." Neji suddenly said. "Oh, no, no. It's fine. I got it." I said. Neji handed the money to Ichiaku. "Too late." he said with a smile. "Arigato Neji." I said quietly. He nodded. We both got up from the booth and started walking. We reached the point where we part ways (( they live on opposite sides of the village)) "Do you want me to walk you home?" Neji asked, not looking at me. I could have sworn I saw a slight blush on his face. "Sure, if you want." I replied. "Neeeji-kuuuuuun!" I facepalmed. ~Poor Neji. Doesn't Ten Ten understand that he isn't interested in her??!! Whoa there, why am I pissed off by this?...~ "Neji, you should walk me home <3" Ten Ten said, batting her eyes at him. "Sorry Panda Buns, he's already walking with me." I said, giving her an annoyed look. Ten Ten glared at me. "Neji-kun, is this true?" she asked him, giving him puppy eyes. ~THAT is supposed to be cute? Dafuq?~ "I already offered to walk Enigma home." Neji said, taking my hand and leading me away. For some reason, I didn't pull away. Neji's hand felt.... nice.

Lee pov

I watched the two from a distance. ~Those two are going to end up together, even without my help~

Ten Ten pov

~Why is he with her and not me? What is so special about her anyway? She doesn't even have boobs!!! That doesn't matter, I'll make Neji mine. I'll make sure of it~ I walked to a store. This place is supposed to sell potions. They probably didn't even work, but I was desperate...

Enigma pov

Neji and I walked hand in hand through the village. It wasn't until Kakashi passed by us that we realized that we were still holding hands. "Cuuute" he said in his usual bored tone. Neji and I blushed and jumped away from each other. "I-it's not like t-that you perverted old man!!" I yelled. "Riiiiiight~" Kakashi said proofing away.

After that awkward scene, Neji and I walked to my house. "Um, thanks for bringing me." I said. "Your welcome." Neji replied. "Do you wanna come inside?" I asked. "N-no. I uh have something I I'm have to do... I'll see you tomorrow." Neji said. "Oh, ok. I'll see you tomorrow then." I said as I went inside.

I closed the door. ~This room is awfully hot...~ I turned around and saw Naruto and Sasuke having another half naked make out session. "Gah! My virgin eyes!! My innocence is being taken from me!" I yelled, dramatically covering my eyes. "Oh, hi Nigma." Naruto casually said from underneath Sasuke. "Duck-Butt, don't you have a room? Violate your boyfriend in there!!" I yelled as I ran upstairs to my room.

Ten Ten pov *In her room*

I held up a vial of a pink liquid. "This better work like that old woman said. Neji will be mine! Muahahaha!"
