As Illumina and I got back to the small base we made, we had seen Sapnap and George already trying to sleep. We agreed to stay up and talk a bit more before laying down and waiting for the other two players to go to bed as well.

When the sun had risen, we had seen just bits of it from higher up in the shallow parts of the cave. After we picked up and declared that we had gotten all that we needed, we made our way outside and took in the sun.

"We can't just take a shot in the dark. We need a plan to find the others." Illumina said.

"You got anything, Mare?" Sapnap asked me with a smile. I stopped to think for awhile.

"Well, we're going to be covering lots of land, so let's try to find horses if we can. It would definitely cut out time down. We can also gather up the materials to make fireworks so we can find them. Maybe they'll get the hint and make some of their own!" I grinned.

"That sounds really great, Mare!" George said.

"Yeah, not bad, kiddo," Illumina nodded. I giggled and we started off in search of horses and the materials needed for fireworks.

"We'll need paper and gunpowder." George clarified as we started to walk away from the cave we stayed in.

"So we'll need to find sugar cane!" Sapnap cheered.

"And fight off some creepers..." Illumina mentioned. "I'll take care of that."

"We can all do our fair share of creeper killing," I rolled my eyes at his habit of keeping me safe.

"Fine, George and Sapnap can take them out too," Illumina agreed.

"Hello! What about me?" I huffed as I turned to give him a harsh glare.

"No, you could get hurt. We aren't risking it."

"So can you! Or Sapnap or George! Just let me help! I can do it!"

"I SAID NO, Y/N AND THAT'S FINAL." He called me by my first name so I knew he was serious. I stormed off ahead of them, deciding to distance myself for three reasons.

One, I wanted to stay away from Illumina right now. Two, I was embarrassed in front of George and Sapnap. Three, I want to find those horses.

I heard the boys bickering faintly behind me, probably talking about what just happened. I ignored them and kept walking.

As it got later and later, the hunt for a horse became increasingly difficult. I sighed and pulled my feet with little to no energy left in my body. I saw a cloud of darkness rush by to my left and I looked, nervous it was a spider. My eyes lit up as I cheered. It was a black horse.

I ran over and the boys followed me, seeing what I yelled about. They grinned and immediately started to fight over who would tame it. I watched as Sapnap climbed the horse and screamed, "yeehaw!"

The horse threw him off after toying with him for awhile and we laughed. Sapnap got back on and stayed atop the horse for even less time than before. Needless to say, he was pretty determined that he would be the one to tame the horse.

Then, George and Sapnap tried to tame it together after minutes of failure, leaving me alone with Illumina and my feelings.

"I just don't want you to die and then have to find us all over again, ya know?" He wrapped his arms around me. I nodded absentmindedly, looking back over at the two boys struggling to tame the horse. I pulled away from Illumina and headed out.

"Where are you going?" Sapnap laughed as he spoke.

"I'm looking for some sugar cane! Try to tame the horse while I'm gone!" I called back.

"I can come with you-"

"No. I'll be fine, Lumi." I called him by his nickname and left in a hurry.

"Lumi? I'm definitely saving that for later," George teased him, causing an argument to break out. I giggled quietly to myself and went off into the wooded area.

I found a family of foxes, the babies chasing each other around. I smiled and watched them, staying as still as I possibly could. They were adorable. I stayed for a little longer before picking up some berries and continuing on my adventure.

It started snowing and I looked up at the sky, a frown accompanied my face. I wrapped my arms around myself and rubbed my hands against my bare thighs, walking along the edges of the trees while keeping a keen eye out for a light green in my peripheral.

I found water and followed it eagerly, knowing that with water came a sandy area holding sugar cane. As I came to a stop, I peered at the wide frozen lake that kept me and the precious cane apart.

The land beside the lake started to deteriorate so it would be too risky to take that route. I decided on crossing the ice. Yeah, it's still risky, but it's better than accidentally stepping on the wrong block and falling into a ravine.

I took careful steps, lightly tapping the area with my foot before making the decision to fully commit and put my weight onto said foot.

As I got closer, I got more and more excited. I lost my footing and the ice underneath me had cracked and gave in. My body fell under and I froze over in a small amount of time. My limbs became numb and I couldn't pull myself back up. I reached towards the hole that I slipped into and flailed my body.

As I ran out of oxygen and feeling in my body, my hearts started to leave, indicating my health was slowly going. I tried to scream but tired myself out more. I kept my eyes up towards the hole and saw a figure reach out and grab me by my overall straps, dragging me to the surface.

I was laid out on the cold ice as I coughed, realizing I had three hearts left. I shivered and the mysterious person took off their insulated chestplate and placed it on me. He then proceeded to pick me up, pulling down my skirt after as it had ridden up my slippery thighs. He took me to a shelter that was built into the side of a mountain that wasn't too far away.

I was put beside a campfire and given mushroom stew as the boy who brought me here had went deeper inside to get someone. The person he brought back was hard to look at: bright green hoodie, blond hair, white mask. I blinked a couple times and tried to speak before passing out.
