For about a week, Sofia had been learning important things for advanced alchemy class at school. None of it seemed to make sense to her. She knew she was struggling and needed help! One day she was glancing through her notes while walking in the hallway. She barely saw where she was going due to being so focused on her notes. "I still don't get it..." she said to herself with a sigh. She looked up finding Prince Desmond seemingly making his way towards the library. "Oh! Desmond!" She cried, getting the prince's attention. He turned and asked her what she needed. "I'm having trouble with our alchemy class. You think you can help?" Sofia answered.

She automatically knew the answer was going to be 'no' as he guiltily looked down. "Sorry Sofia, I'm currently helping Amber. I'm just going to meet up with her now so we can study." He explained. Sofia told him it was ok and thanked him anyway, but once he turned the corner she sighed once again. What was she going to do now?
In Enchancia, under their gazebo, Sofia sat flipping through her notes and books. The stress in her eyes was clear. Suddenly, she heard this weird *poof* behind one of the bushes. She then walked over to get a better look and saw a boy who appeared to be around 15. He was wearing pretty baggy clothing with an apron. He had black hair with one bluish-gray streak and goggles. He then cheered to himself, "I did it! I, Varian, was able to make a machine to take me through time and space! Lance owes me 10 gold pieces! Best alchemist EV-ER!" with very exaggerated hand movements.

He glanced over his shoulder seeing Princess Sofia and gasped. Sofia tried to calm him down and welcomed him to Enchancia. "Enchancia? Hmmm..." He pondered as he looked around, then looked back at Sofia and her amulet. "You're Princess Sofia of Enchancia, I presume?" He asked.
"Yes! How did you know?" Sofia questioned, very impressed.
Varian explained how he works with Princess Rapunzel who told him about her and her sister, Amber. He noticed Sofia holding a stack of papers and asked what she was working on. Sofia sighed, explaining how it's notes from her advanced alchemy class. She also added how she didn't quite understand some of it. "Uh-uh! Say no more, princess. I shall help you with your alchemy!" Varian insisted. Sofia smiled with delight, then asked how. "Because it's alchemy, duh! That's, like, my specialty, princess!" He chuckled.
"That's great!" Sofia cheered. "Thank you!" she finished. Sofia guided Varian to the gazebo where the rest of her notes were waiting. Varian stared at the huge pile and commented how that was a LOT of notes. "I know... And I still don't understand it! I'm supposed to have a project to present tomorrow, but I can't even get it started," Sofia sighed. Varian flipped through some of the notes and explained how most of it was just common sense and that she didn't really need those notes. He told her how all of the unnecessary notes could be a problem because it's overwhelming. "But I thought it was a good idea to have as much information as possible," Sofia replied.

Varian picked up one of the papers and sarcastically asked, "Sofia, do you really need a note on how beakers are glass?" Sofia answered that it would remind her that it was fragile. "And you need to write that dragon scales come from dragons?" He laughed. Sofia simply shrugged. "Listen princess, you're overwhelming yourself! It's making you feel stressed. Let's go ahead and start with removing the unnecessary notes," Varian declared. Soon, her huge stack of papers shrunk down to only about five pages of notes. "Now, let's work on that project!" Varian proclaimed.
